It's as clear as red card as you're likely to see.
Intent though? It's impossible to say. Because if Pete has gone in intending to hurt the Derby lad then he would have hurt the Derby lad, if you get what I mean. I'm siding with him just being clumsy.

Is there much intent these days?
They all come across a bit childish and weak to me in modern day football. The kind of lads that would tickle you before tackling you.
It was clumsy, mistimed and in the modern era a red.
That kind of situation though is possible in nearly every game due to the speed of matches. You are literally talking about milliseconds worth of difference between that situation and a missed tackle.

There was a much worse tackle in the PSG v Liverpool game last , but Verratti only got yellow.
No problem with Etebo getting red but it would be nice to think that refs are fair and consistent.

Think you might have understood what I meant. More to do with the reaction of their players than the challenge itself. If your teammate is down hurt, go and see to him rather than trying to get the opposition man sent off. Apologies Haha, no need but accepted.

Watching the Huddersfield player get sent off it’s obvious the referees decision is made based on the reaction of the ‘injured’ player. He has a split decision to make a decision so how can the ref tell if it’s a broken leg or a flesh wound or nothing? I’ve loved playing and watching but this trying to get players sent off is really pissing me off. I’m not saying a bad tackle shouldn’t be punished but it’s only going to get worse. Keogh was as right as rain 5 mins later.

Really missed him today as I feared we would , really fear his absence will be terribly exposed at villa park which I suspect will see us kiss the play offs goodbye and the hoplessness of our cause and aims exposed for all to see
