10+
To win took some doing, to win with 10 men even more. Loved the fact he was fucking relishing in it, feel like we got our club back a bit last night. I just hope we can carry it on. I've been fairly supportive of Rowett but my support was wavering a bit after QPR and definitely after the team sheet, but I have to say he nailed it completely.
Well done Gaz.

8.5- the team played with discipline and shape after Etebo’s dismissal and Rowett made the right subs at the right time. I would need to see that performance as the norm rather than the exception before buying into “Rowett is God” as some are seeming to infer. If he does know what he’s doing, we should look for at least 7 points from the next 3 games- well done last night, but I’ll stick to my current thinking for the next 3 games and hopefully be proved wrong.

We won but dropping Edwards was poor management but his players fought for him after going down to 10 men. Still loads more questions than answers for me though, especially around formation and the value we are getting out of £40million worth of footballers. Chopping and changing thew side is no good either, Hughes did it and look how that ended.

8.034 for me.
Dug deep on the day, pressed well, created chances in difficult conditions. Very good up until the red card, defended solidly after.
How much of that was the team and how much of that was GR is too complicated to say

It will be interesting to see how his team lines up on Saturday. Because of the sending off he went 441 and defensively this worked very well. Is there any reason therefore 442 would not work as well defensively and add a more potent attacking force with 2 up front which he seems reluctant to do.

Mermaidsal is spot on in saying that this performance didn't come out of the blue. We've been steadily improving and getting closer to what Rowett wants over the weeks. 10* I don't get the oh this was just a one off performance thing either - it is a similar to performance to most of the games we've played recently - except we got the result the performance deserved and it looked great because it was against 10 men. The fact is we're starting to look like a side who know how to handle this league for quite a few games now whereas at the start of the season we looked like Bambi on ice. Rowett deserves the credit for that as much as a one-off gutsy performance.

I didn't go but I took my twin grandsons to the game and dropped them off. When I picked them up they were absolutely buzzing and said it was one of the best games they'd seen for a long time. So just for that, Rowett gets a 10 from me.

27% possession.
Question for someone who went, was that all down to a tactical change following the sending off or was it already low on 33 minutes?
It just seems crazy low, I don't recall one lower even when we played Top 4 in the Prem.

I wanted him to start Bojan, but even up until the red we were the better team. They had two real chances and we had more. We deserved the win against an excellent team.

It just seems crazy low, I don't recall one lower even when we played Top 4 in the Prem. I'd say yes it was. We started slowly , as usual, but were getting on top by the time of the sending off. Haven't seen any stats for the first thirty, but I would have thought it was fairly even by the time of the sending off, if not possession we had more chances,

I look forward to the consistency of dropping each and every player because they have a poor game. It was a poor decision which smacked of getting his man in the side at the first glimmer of an opportunity. Just my opinion.
