I fancy we need a dynamic positive performance with 3 points otherwise it will look grim for the rest of the season.

We've had countless must win games since Newcastle on new years day and we haven't won a single one of them.

Forget the emotional side of our inadequacy but I don't think it is at this stage yet. Surely 6 points against Reading and Ipswich will follow. I'd more say it's a ' must not lose ' .
Scarily we are nearer to the bottom 3 than we are to the top 3

Derby play the kind of football that will cause us no end of problems.
They will score at least 3.

Spoke to my Derby supportig Dad last night and was shocked when he said Stoke will beat them Wednesday, he said they were awful against Sheff Wed and couldn't put 2 passes together.

I don’t know if it’s must win for us, but it’s a game that’s critically important for the manager - arguably more so than it is for the team.

I feel more for Rowetts credibility than anything. It would be a great time for him to lay down a marker to at least lift the air of apathy there is over the club at the moment.

Someone said on "Praise & Grumble" on Friday evening that out of these two home games, we should be looking to get at LEAST 4 points!!! Lose on Wednesday and that's 1 point out of the two games.....that's simply not good enough!!! I pretty much fancy us less against Derby than I did against QPR!!!

We have no choice but to win on Wednesday a defeat and we could be 11 points behind Derby in 6th at the close of play. I can see the crowd turning on rowett if the performance is abysmal and we get beat. I don't see them in sacking territory just yet however with Ipswich coming to town in a few weeks I could see PC potentially holding out until then at the very earliest as a defeat to Ipswich could be a point of no return for rowett.

Another “must win” game, starting early this year, it was around March last year...
I’d prefer to see a plan and approach that yields steady progress rather than win the odd “must win” game here and there!!

I think beating QPR was a must win. A poor squad playing above themselves, who we had to beat to keep in contact with the top clubs. Now gaps have opened up in the table above us and we will be in catch up mode even if we start winning the occasional match.
Derby are a different prospect to our last 3 opponents. They will be prepared to play an end to end game and have a go at us. If they are in form they are more likely to score more than us. However Derby are inconsistent and we could win.
I would love us to win convincingly but I fear if we did that Rowett will be crowing and many will think we have turned the corner like last season when we beat Watford, Swansea, and West Brom.

Its a must win game for the manager & i would think he will instill that into the players minds. Its then over to which ever team he picks to fight for his cause or not. I know which way i think that could go after the public slagging he gave some of the squad earlier in the season.

Like I said last night we’ll see if the players are fully behind Rowett because believe me the vitriol coming from the away end will be non stop towards him. We desperately need a performance non more so than for myself 😄

Just as well if they can’t put two passes together as all they really need to do is launch an aimless long ball over the top which will normally be enough to outfox our statuesque defence.

We are eight points off the play offs with 28 games to play so no, quite clearly it isn't a must win game. It is an important game though and the sort of game that will hopefully get the fans on board and install some belief in the team if we can deliver a positive performance and result. It's quite clear that a portion of our home fans are going to boo the team off at full time at home this season if we fail to win the match regardless what level of performance we produce, that's something the players will have to deal with unfortunately. Sometimes it may be justified but I certainly didn't feel yesterday was one of those occasions, the result was frustrating but I don't think our performance lacked commitment and a desire to win.

It's another irrelevant game, we wont go up, we wont go down. Just start planning now for next season. Just what I was going to post. It’s not must win because whether we win or lose, we won’t be troubling the promotion spots. Against a team like Derby, do we think Rowett will be positive, or at least as defensive as he has in every home game so far. I think I know the answer...

It should be for Rowett but wont be. Nothing will change with him in charge. I can see us being ran all over the park by Derby who are a young fast side.

Its a must not lose game for Rowett, that's his mentality and he will be pleased as usual with a draw. I can only see a must win game if we are close to relegation near the end of the season. But I think the manager probably has enough about him for us to hit 50pts and safety.....just.

When was the last time we won one of these “must win” games? I’m fully expecting a beating on Wednesday. They are really up for this one and I can see it being a rather depressing evening.

It's another irrelevant game, we wont go up, we wont go down. Just start planning now for next season. We didn't plan much last season, not enough this season … so what makes you think they possibly might plan anything next!!! They said anything but top6 is a failure, but we are well short of what is required and yet there seems to be again " no fuss " about this lack of urgency to improve on what we are offering with this style and especially at home! Just more of the same
