Wonder how many season ticket holders will not be going on Wednesday ? I heard so many in the pub yesterday saying they can't be bothered and will watch it on telly. I think the club should give an accurate attendance figure and not automatically include the season ticket holders, this may then reflect to the hierarchy just how fed up people are of this boring, turgid football we are seeing.

They won't do it though, I'd say 18'000 was the very maximum v Wigan and was published as around 23'000. Shitty Arsenal did it every home game last season

I'm pretty sure those behind the scenes won't be judging our attendance based on the figures published in the BBC match report or from whatever's read out over the tannoy for god's sake They'll know full well how many people actually were there.

I won't be attending Wednesday night but that's purely due to work commitment. Would love to of gone but saying that the football is terribly mind numbing and dreadful especially considering the amount of money that has been spent.

I think an empty stadium is the one leverage the fans have to make the Board act.
They made big thing about atmosphere when delaying filling the corner. TV screens of an empty Bet365 stadium will soon worry them about next seasons season ticket sales.
I just hope the Derby directors have a dig at the Stoke directors about paying for their manager. I fully expect Derby fans to drown any noise from Stoke fans.

What the fuck have we become, those 10 years in the premiership have killed us
There’s a saying and it goes like this.....if you can’t support the team when its struggling, don’t fucking bother when it starts winning
It’s becoming like a badge of honour

I could have understood such comments after a couple of our latest games, but not yesterday's game. I think those comments are more about disappointment rather than the excitement of yesterday's game.

Problem on here is sometimes due to age people don't recall Nuneaton , Telford, 4000 v Norwich in Division one ( now known as Premier league ) Far worse times than this. Same people who are going to take piss out of Vale next week for no fans are now advocating empty seats against fucking Derby. Get a grip

Don't you think the hierarchy will be given those figures? Do you think Coates sits there thinking I wish they'd announce the true figure so I could work out what the fans really think?

So many on twitter have comments like 'Stoke till I die' and 'proud to be a potter'on their profiles. Yet they are saying they aren't going. Perhaps they should change their profiles. They get more like Arse and Man Utd fans every day.

However the game on Wednesday has extra spice, a good away support who will be rabid at Rowett. All the hallmarks of a decent night. What do we have ? Fans saying loads are giving it a miss. Absolute hypocrites. Maybe if we draw City or Chelsea in Fa cup in January they will come back

It's like those on here who say they've supported Stoke for 40 odd years and then come out with "X is the worst footballer we've ever had....this is the worst Stoke side in history...X put in the worst defensive performance i've ever seen from anyone ever at Stoke". It's bollocks and knee jerk hyperbole from people who miss something that most of the rest of us possess i.e. perspective! Don't get me wrong, i think we're shit at the moment and miles away from where we should be but worse than we've seen in the history of Stoke and therefore worthy of just giving up on them? Is it bollocks. We could go down to the Evostik league and i'd still be a Stoke supporter myself.

I can't afford it myself, not so much the ticket but 50 quid petrol every time. Seeing things like fans booing McClean and booing draws isn't half annoying. If you'd rather not go that's fine, but don't pretend it's some sort of medal, because tbh I really don't think we're playing that poor football.

I remember Blythe Spartans, Telford and I was one of the few who turned out for the Norwich game ( along with the other 20 odd thousand who claim to have been there ! 😂).
Back then we were poor, awful at times and comically bad at others. We generally had a squad incapable of competing but as bad as they were they tried their hardest. As hard as it was to watch at least I could appreciate their efforts.
The difference now is this team should be able to perform better than they are. Mismanagement of the club and the players by the board and the management staff have managed to reduce the matchday experience to a dull, turgid affair that has become a chore to watch.
Even in those dark days I looked forward to match days. With this lot I don’t. I go out of a sense of duty I guess and rarely enjoy the game. I’ll continue to go but boy is it hard work to do so. I’ll always support them, I can’t do anything other than that but it’s really not a pleasant experience these days.

Now the real followers of Stoke City will turn up. A few will say they have not missed a game in the last ten years. There are 10 - 12000 die hard's look at previous 30 years. The teen age following will only know top flight football. Welcome to the real world of following Stoke City. Always remember having to tell my son for a fa cup game that he could not have his usual seat in the then sentinel stand due to it being closed.
Yes the standard at the moment is shite but with Allen and McClean you have to live with it. Rowett will not change so it seems we will have to wait until the board realise it's time for him to go and hopefully brig in a decent manager.

I remember Brian Little, Telford, Nuneaton, David Oldfield and countless other rubbish. That doesn't mean we can't call out the current shit show for what it is, especially as we have richer owners than we've ever had before.

Can’t agree, we are so slow to get forward it’s actually embarrassing, Rowett nicked the Lambert playbook of 10 behind the ball to stem the goals against, but we offer so little going forward.
