Can see we are linked with Foster at Shampton, but in my opinion a much better choice would be Andre Hansen at Rosenborg (Norway). He is by far the best goalie in the Norwegian league, and I dare say most Norwegian football fans would say he is much better than Nyland at Aston Villa. I really don't think he would be that expensive and at 29 he could still be our goalie for years to come. Maybe until he gets serious competition from Bursik. I really hope our transfer team will consider this player, and I really think he would be a much better and cheaper option than Foster.

Very much doubt Butland will be off in January.

Is it likely that JB will leave? Don't know, but he changed agent, didn't he? I also think he will drop down in Soutgate's pecking order by staying in the Championship, so I really wouldn't be surprised to see him go if a bid in the region of £25M came in. With our bad financial year in mind as well I guess it sort of makes sense too.

I don't think JB will be going anywhere, but Fraser Forster from Southampton would be a good signing for someone. His wages could be a problem. They handed him a massive new contract just before he lost his place in the team. He did have a poor season, but I am sure would prove to be a good signing.

Tom Heaton?

If Jack Butland is likely to leave, then there is only 1 man we have to get and that is Tom Heaton. We did have a deal lined up for him in the Summer had the right offer come in for Jack allegedly.
The only concern with him is "has he truly recovered from his horrible shoulder injury" because if he has, it is amazing that Joe Hart is considered to be a better option than him.
Pre injury Heaton was better than Pope and Hart.

Tom Heaton would be absolutely class, Forster is fucking godawful so I assume we will sign him

Andre Blake or Zach Steffen could be cheaper but quality options. Definitely. For those who don't know, they are the recent two best goalkeepers in the MLS. Blake has been Jamaica's starter for several years. Steffen is the current American top choice, though Ethan Horvath had a great performance against Italy today and could be back in the running for USA starter. Steffen is on about £100k a year, so wages wouldn't be a problem.

I think its inevitable that we will lose jb at some point, changing agents tells us all we need to know.i don't think federiki is a number 1 a good back up yes but not a no 1. lets hope our transfer team have drawn up some viable targets?

Why will he be going, most people on here don’t think he’s not that good, so who would want to buy him? Personally, I hope he stays, no matter what others think, he will be difficult to replace.

People forget when they have a hissy fit about a playe. Soon as the player might be going, they are brilliant.

Difficult to replace? I'd be happy if we get 15mil for Butland, i'd also be happy getting a keeper who commands his area and comes past the 6yd box for crosses. Ww could use the 15million on a quick centre half!!

How we do it I don't know but we do. Jacob if no improvement has been made is an exception to the rule. Is bursik ready to step up? Thought he was highly rated?

If it is him then the thing is... if he shows what real knowledge can do when it comes to spotting goalkeepers then why aren't we following suit with the same kind of people for outfield players instead of what seems like entering a lucky dip at a few million pound a go? (Referring more to our tail end PL signings)

I personally would go for Heaton - would be relatively cheap now as an effective 3rd choice for Burnley and has shown he can command his area with real authority. The only question mark is that he hasn't played a competitive match for over a year, so could potentially be a tad rusty for the first few games

If Butland moved for the sake of his England career he would want to be starting.
The only teams in the Premier League who would have him starting are in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Problem with going to the bottom half of the Premier League in January is you may well be back in the Championship come May.

Play Federici and get the young lads promoted. Bursik has a bright future ahead of him by all accounts.
