Why don't you wait until something actually happens before you make a complete fool of yourself? I will explain what’s happened bournemouth have gone from being promoted to a top seven team in four years by quality recruitment ,a real ambition never mentioning the dreaded sustainable but investing for growth in the same time we have gone from a top nine team to six points above the championship relegation zone , wasted millions and lost a £100 million revenue stream You really are bloody negative!! Proper glass half empty all the time. Bournemouth will not be a top 7 team come end of the season. Stoke may be "6 points above the championship relegation zone" but they are also 9 points from top spot!!

If we can get a single penny more than we paid for him, I'd sell instantly.

If we can get a single penny more than we paid for him, I'd sell instantly. This. The longer Allen is here, the longer the idiot Rowett will play him as an attacking midfielder to the detriment of the whole team.

I also agree with everything you've said to a "t" the problem is a crazy manager playing Allen in detrimental setups, while also bringing in folks to replace him long term but then also moving said player into positions up the pitch which are more suited for Bojan or Bera.

Which player will be next that we can all throw our problems too. Maybe we should sell Butland, Allen and Afobe and buy some new candidates that we can blame. Truth is, we play too defensive and the current players have to fit into that system, which makes it very difficult to show their true colours. Hence, the reason Bojan can’t get a game - because he’s too attacking. What’s he thinking! Need to tell him he’s at Stoke City football club.

Why not sell Imbula and Badu as they don't want to play for Stoke. Not forgetting wimmer.

Allen is quality but he'll never be used properly at stoke, and Clucas and Woods are both holding midfielders, or in the case of the former, several positions but played his best season as a holding midfielder. If we were to sell Allen, Bauer, Diouf this January and bring in 20-25 million could anyone argue with that? All three would do a job in the premier league and at the same time we need different players in different positions and could spend it on a pacy attacking player and a centre back. Afobe and Diouf are pacy attacking players. The problem is we play a plodding pedestrian system that doesn't utilise players with pace. I agree a centre back is an absolute priority.

Anyway, is there a link to this apparent Bournemouth interest in Joe Allen anywhere?

Anyway, is there a link to this apparent Bournemouth interest in Joe Allen anywhere? An extremely small 2 line piece in the Sun is all I can find mentioning him as a short term fix for them

Most underrated player we have- for some strange reason Incredible isn't it. Joe Allen is the only outfield player we now have left on the books which any Premier League club would give the time of day to. Our last and final £10m + outfield saleable asset. Sell Joe and I think you could safely say we have given up on a return to the Prem.

Only if we get a good striker in.

The worst business Stoke did in the summer was giving Joe a new contract What a joke this comment is. Bournemouth along with probably another dozen Prem clubs would love to have Joe, who pledged his future here with a long term contract. If only all our players worked as hard as he always does. I guess we will eventually have to kearn to appreciate him once he does leave, just like Arnie and £15/20m will be small compensation. So this is wind up comment (I hope) as the worst business was signing Maclean, and Joe's was one if our best pieces of business. Allen is like Whelan. His contribution won't be appreciated until he's left the club & playing for someone else.

15 million for Joe Allen is fair and would enable us to get a genuine pacy/powerful attacking player. Allen is our best midfielder but we need to rebalance. Obviously we also need a centre back in January at least. So would selling, or not wasting the money on Afobe, and get the striker we thought we were going to buy.

Sell Joe and I think you could safely say we have given up on a return to the Prem. Controversial! It does seem to be, doesn't it? There have been times when Joe has been a bit of a headless chicken but that was mostly under the manager who signed him and, typically, had no idea what to do with him. The current set up suits him much better, and the more he plays with Etebo the better they will work together. And surely his determination to stay and help put right last season's disaster earns him plenty of admiration?

Only if we get a good striker in. I don't suppose so since we have wealthy backers but we left the Premier League with £100m per year of media rights, with parachute payments that will go down to around the championship average of £6m in 3 steps very crudely something like this. 17/18 £100m 18/19 £55m 19/20 £45m 20/21 £20m 21/22 £6m championship average At the same time our ticket sales and sponsorship will also likely be down although these are small numbers compared to Prem media rights. It's impossible to imagine we are not haemorrhaging lots of money at the moment and that situation will get much worse in the next few seasons unless we can secure a fast return to the Prem!

Those three out, a commanding centre back, another forward (for Afobe/Saido/Bojan to play off) and another winger in, and I would not really argue with that.
