Don't think anything gets archived does it? The floor's yours son! I remember when you booked the Dender trip, wearing it as a badge of honour, then we kept on winning and winning and winning. Great days! I also remember as apart from Colchester I was at all away games, but we booked that trip late February where we most certainly didn't keep winning and winning. In fact we lost 3 drew 5 won 4 finishing off the season with a lovely 0-0 to cement promotion. Great days H You were going on about it for weeks and weeks before. Going to watch some carpet football weren't you whilst we were going nowhere. Daft twats!

One thing I agree 110% with that is how he says about the club letting go of the characters. Hughes got rid of too many of them and replaced them with a bunch of shit houses. This was my argument when people wanted rid of crouch in the summer. The bloke is worth far more to us even if it’s just to have around the club.

I certainly didn't mention carpet football, but it's funny you throw it in there! :) H

As much as I agreed it was time to move on Walters whelan bardsely (not Huth that is still sore) we replaced them with players that simply didn’t care. I know hindsight is great as well

What a ridiculously biased article, probably edited by Pulis himself. Must have missed the ‘string of top half finishes’. It conveniently leaves out our three ninth places finishes following TP’s departure and jumps straight to our current predicament.

If what he did to SCFC was poison then find us some more Divide the fans, throw away our European dream for a game against fucking Swansea, nutted Beattie when he was a key player for us, claimed “the people of Stoke needed him” to try and get out of a driving ban, consistently play players out of position, refuse to adapt his medieval tactics, refusal to play youth, refusal to shop abroad, act like a complete cunt on his return and subsequent ones, complete disregard for the clubs desire to invest in the academy, dumbing down expectations to the point that some brainwashed zealots think we’re now back at our “deserved” level and no other man other than Pulis could manage us, hang Ricardo Fuller out to dry on the wing in his final few games at the club. I can go on but I have a train to catch, and his subsequent sackings and prosecution for fraud show the true character of one of the biggest cunts in football. But it’s OK because he rode a bike somewhere once. I’ve screenshotted this post for use later when my Rimmer acquaintances start with their TP bullshit... It’ll save me having to keep typing 👍🏽

I noticed his sly dig at Hughes in today’s paper, basically saying the club was rocking when he was here and there were lots of strong characters in the dressing room, he goes on to say these players weren’t replaced and complacency set in
True what he says I guess
As for his reception I’ll just do nothing, neither applaud nor boo

It conveniently leaves out our three ninth places finishes following TP’s departure and jumps straight to our current predicament. Strong characters are all well and good but without the skills of Ricci Fuller he would have achieved the square route of fuck all except bore us all to death. Let’s not forget also how shamefully he treated Ric too in his final year at the club. If any player has ever deserved a final rousing and emotional send off at the end of his contract Super Ric is right up there but TFP couldn’t even allow him that. BM

Pugs I was simply trying to put some balance into the debate. Unsavoury at the time no doubt. None of us know if there were any mitigating circumstances going on during the game between Pulis and Hughes. In life generally there are always two sides to an argument. How many clubs has Mark Hughes defrauded? Apart from when he went mental and still called himself a football manager. Now answer the same for Tony Pulis. Nefarious is a polite word for this particular person. Deception to the tune of over 3 million quid. How's that for balance? H Reminder: This post was generated about today's match. Once again its been hijacked by a vocal minority with inbuilt hatred to spout their venom.

I really don’t understand anybody who will continue showing their appreciation until the day they die. It screams small time to me and plays exactly into the ‘little old Stoke, over achieving’ image that Pulis loved to peddle.
He got all the thanks and appreciation whilst he was here. And he deserved it. But now he’s gone and has been for some time.
If you got divorced, would you carry on telling your ex wife how beautiful she was every time you bumped into her? Would you fuck.

Pulis is a hero in my eyes for what he did for my club. I don't bank on it ever happening again. Trips to Wembley Valencia and Split in competitive games and hosting the big boys with a genuine anticipation of getting a result. Sadly they are only memories now.
Now we look at trips to Sheff Utd as being daunting, it's all very depressing really. At least we get to watch highlights on quest.........

It's about time some of his preaching joey's read that article for a look into the real soul of the bloke.
He had the best job in football and he blew it. He can't bring himself to mention three 9th place finishes because it was achieved by his successor, with predominantly his own players playing a far better brand of football.
Bitter, bitter man.

He did great for us, I don't understand your issue. I was very happy with being a mid table team competing with the big boys and trips to Wembley and Europe. Certainly far happier than I've ever been supporting Stoke in my lifetime. People are very quick to forget what he did for us.

He'll get a warm applause from me and always will. He did a great job for us and brought Premier League football to Stoke and kept us there. Something that as a lad growing up in the 90s watching us yo yo between the second and third tiers getting beaten 4-1 at home by Bristol Rovers I thought I might never see.
He left at the right time, Hughes initially did a great job building on his legacy before bodging the rebuilding job when the aging big characters needed replacing. Pulis for me is a hero from the past who needs to stay in the past. Dissecting his legacy and how it relates to our current situation is a pointless waste of time and energy and some of what is being said about Pulis is downright disrespectful.
