Butland 8.5 (Excellent apart from some woeful kicking, 3-4 match winning saves as well!)
Edwards 7.5 (Apart from one situation in the first half a very solid game by Edwrdas, miles better at crossing the ball than Martina as well!) Williams 7 (his best game in a long time in my opinion) Indi 6.5 (looked very uncomfortable on the ball) Pieters 7 (solid)
Woods 6.5 (some good and some dodgy moments) Allen 6.5 (the same as above) Fletcher 6 (great goal, but I'm terrified every time he is on the ball!) Adam 6.5 (our best midfielder when he was out there, but with that yellow it was right to sub him) Ince 5 (not enough impact on the game) McClean 3 ( What is he doing out there at the moment!?)
Berahino 6 (worked hard, but very little end product) Afobe 4 (confirmed that he wasn't a target man again)
Shawcross (not enough time on the pitch to get a mark, but should have come on at least 15 minutes earlier as we struggled in the air)

They're a little kind to a couple on there, I thought Pieters was pretty poor tbh.

Butland 8 Some great saves, awful awful kicking...
Edwards 8 MOM As mentioned above, didn;t get his positioning right in the first half, could have cost us, but he was solid and positive after that.
Williams 5 Bit better today but still poor overall
BMI 5 What has happened to this guy...
Pieters 6 nervy at times but solid enough
Woods 6 Came too deep again at times, when charlie was on, he came and stood behind the ball. few too many passes off today, and not reading the game properly, equally some excellent passes and great composure on the ball.
Allen 6.5 Got stuck in, as per usual but I'm not sure what he added today, Think he got an assist? but I havent seen replays.
Fletcher 7 Gave us a lot more steel in the air, legs have gone and we all know that - but this is something I wrote earlier:
"3 hours ago via mobile I’m one of rowett and fletchers fierciest critics but tactically I’m ok with this and I have a feeling fletcher might have a good game." And I think he did. We looked more calm with him in the squad than not.
Adam 6.5 great passing - someone needs to send him to fitness bootcamp, he fucking owes it to himself and the club to shift that weight, yellow card a given.
Ince 4 Only really turned up after 70 minutes.
McClean 2 Dreadful today.
Berahino 6 Put a shift in, acted as a midfielder again, I could just copy and paste my comments from his last game. Works better than mclean.
Afobe 4 Not his game again today, hung out to dry, but the one time he was through on goal he bottled it. Poor today.
Shawcross 5 Came out for a header with the sort of commitment you expect from him. Cleaned out tw of his own players and theirs. PR move from Rowett. Needs to start ahead of Williams.

It was a good booking if that makes sense. Sometimes you take one for the team when breaks are on and your stretched. Good sub as he is walking a tightrope, but again Charlie did well when he came on

Saw Adam close up last week,he looks lean and fit,in fact looks in best condition since he's been here. Compared to whom? Charlie adam of 2013? Yeah I'd agree but it's not enought to go off. He's still clearly overweight. I watched their centrehalf breeze past him and he knew he couldn't keep up so he didn't even chase him. It's not on and whilst yes he's in better shap than he was before, it's not ok... Compared to anyone. Honestly saw him close up, a yard away, last week. He's trim, fit as sharp as he can be. However no matter how fit he is his legs are going and he's never been blessed with acceleration. For me he's a great sub still.

It's like the opposite of ronaldo's footballing philosophy. If Adam tried could he be not just in better shape but still arguably overweight, but could he actually be in great shape??

Legs gone is another point for debate. However as a non sports scientist etc. Have to accept their professional opinion based upon monitored evidence, or should I simply rely upon posters on the Oatie. Think about it before posting scorn!!

Butland - 8 superb save second half, but really should be claiming crosses that are only 4 yards out. Edwards - 8- his best game in the first team. Williams- 6.5- okay but the amount of headers won by Bristol in our box was frightening. BMI- 6.5 again okay, but looked really uncomfortable on the ball. Pieters 6.5- the odd “Eric” moment, but is beginning to look more like the Eric of 3 years ago.
Ince- 5.5 -woke up with 20 minutes to go. Allen- 6.5 got the assist and as always ran and ran and ran Fletcher-7- one of our two shots on target and the winner, he has to be recognised for that Woods-6.5- still a bit too deep, but that might also explain why we have managed not to concede too many when we are under the cosh. Berahino-7, played the best of the midfield/forwards Afobe-5 really disappointing as a centre forward, but put in a good cross for the goal.
Adam- 6.5 played some good balls and “took one” for the team (although he probably would have struggled to catch him otherwise) McClean- 6 did nothing wrong. Shawcross-not on long enough to mark, but one good clearance header at the death.

Using your source as the Daily Mail I’ll just check today’s date and time to validate they are on the same page I have some "sports professional qualifications yeah" not that its any of your business really. I'll ignore your "wahh daily mail"-cack and we can either agree he was in better shape at Liverpool and therefore it is possible to be in good shape, he logically can be again despite being in better shape now than he was in 2013. Or we can disagree and stop de-railing the thread. And like some of you, I've also seen him up close so it's hardly heretical stuff im talking about - he could be fitter and he should lose a bit of extra weight, then he'll be able to chase a centre-half down without giving up.

Please take your arguments/opinions up with the professional fitness team now in position at SCFC. No doubt they’ll be glad of your input and heed your advice. PS. The Daily Mail is cack, but it’s all a matter of opinion

Butland - 9.0 I'll ignore his kicking purely because of the three brilliant saves he made, "Gordon-Banksesque" described by a Brizzle fan outside the ground Edwards - 8.0. Very impressive and not surprising, he should be first choice right back without a question. Williams - 7.0 defended well Indi - 7.5 see above but he made two excellent blocks near the end Pieters - 7.0 steady Woods - 6.0 First half he was good, second half he was our weak link & kept giving it away, not sure if he was injured?? Allen - 7.0 constant hassle for them and composed on the ball, effective. Fletcher - 7.0 stray performance and good organisation Adam - 7.5 took command and sprayed some sublime passes around, correct decision to take him off though Ince - 6.0 didn't have much impact however didn't do much wrong. McClean - 5.0 odd cameo Berahino - 7.0 worked hard which is good to see from him Afobe - 6.5 thankless task upfront on his own but he did make a goal line clearance in his own box & did OK upfront considering it was him v 4 defenders
