Yet again when we have a chance to join the races we go and blow it! It was evident that most of the players thought again that they are too good for this league and were settling for a 50% performance because "its just Birmingham". The attitude was terrible, some players did just the bare minimum and trusted that someone else does the job for them. Well, no one did. All the good work and enchanged attitudes vanished during the international break and we played like we did in the early season. The next step is probably a full scale panic because we seem to be mentally all over the place.
The only players to deserve some credit today were Bojan and Ince. Woods and Mclean were terrible, Butland let two shots behind him, the other was luckily saved by woodwork. Allen just dwelled on the ball and couldn't get a single shot away and did defensively nothing. Afobes first touch was awful and the balls just bounced off him. Our defence looked slower than ever. Very frustrating because those very same players were already doing so much better just before the International break.

We go over the top when we win and likewise when we lose. Can't say the 2 wins got me over excited, Bolton are abject and albeit a resolute performance at Norwich was underserved.
Maybe a point at Norwich and a point today was a fairer reflection so we are a point better off !!

That’s the biggest load of tosh i’ve read in a long while. If we knicked a goal and won we’d be lavishing praise on everyone.
We played ok today, we got done by a well organised unit. We need to find a way to grind out results. We’re guilty of playing too pretty at times.

Pointless passing in our own half, three shots on target (Brum had six), and losing at home despite being saved by the woodwork.

The rest of it's probably crap if that's the basis if your opinion.

It was a tight game that was always in the balance. If we’d won, everybody would be saying it was a great result and we could have easily won as well. If anything the fact that we were the home team and had to take it to Birmingham probably played against us. We defended well, controlled the game, just couldn’t find that end result. That’s what we need to improve on whether it be a clever set piece or a long ball and a knock down, we’ve got to find a way of turning good performances into wins. We’ve had many good performances where the points haven’t followed and the negative result is swaying people’s opinions tonight.

Apart from Bojan , we all want him to come good but I just don’t think he has the balls to play in such a competitive competition like the Championship. If we are going to do anything in this league, whoever is in charge of the team ( I think Rowetts days are numbered ) needs to be more attack minded . One up front at home ,plays into opposing teams hands .

That's bullshit about Butland. The rest of it's probably crap if that's the basis if your opinion. You are right, can't really blame his attitude. He had'n particulary good game though, flapping on a couple of ocassions, but it wasn't his fault that we lost. Butlands main problem today was the defensive play in front of him.
