It's a real shame that one suspension in central midfield means we've got to a.) move a left-back who's looked really good there in the last few games, and bring in Dickinson b.) move Lawrence inside, shift Cresswell to the right, and play Phillips c.) give a league debut to the out-of-his-depth fruit of the manager's loins - as the only like-for-like replacement at the club. I still think he'll opt to keep it in the family.

I wish he'd opted to keep it in his trousers 24 years ago! ;D

TP will - going by his previous selections - play a semi-injured player (e.g. Wright) rather than make too many changes. (not a criticsm, just an observation).
If he cant play Wright he will play Buxton or Dicko @ RB as he will want Zaks pace (compared to Buxton) @ CB with Cort given Watfords front two.
The bigger issue is Pulis Jr @ CM - he has had recent injury himself & regardless of any lack of ability if Ant cant play then TP will be forced into playing either LL or Pugh as CM.
The chances of him playing anything other than 4 midfielders in front of 4 defenders are even lower than the chances of him giving 1sts starts (against the best side in the CCC) to either Demar De or Laet.
both may well be on the bench though & Wedderburn should be involved if not in the 16.
We really do have a big hole in central midfield both in terms of numbers & quality. TP's/Stoke's failure to recruit in the summer cannot be repeated in January.
