"The British people should not be underestimated"...well actually, we'll underestimate the last thing they voted for but when it suits me we'll stop underestimating.
Anyway, I'm up for a free travel to London for a day of sightseeing and boozing, courtesy of Pete.

Nothing to do with your business interests in Gib, Pete?
Considering his approach to appointing managers is very much 'Little England', forgive me if I'm a little cynical here.

Normally defend him on here and think he's done amazing things for the club. Only one word springs to mind here though.

I am 100% behind Peter Coates and would be tempted to go myself however you just know it will be hijacked by the rent a mob who will use it as an excuse for disorder

"Mr Coates, who is also chairman of bet365, has spoken out in favour of a second referendum on leaving the European Union, and has previously warned of the damage a ‘botched Brexit’ could do to areas like Stoke-on-Trent." The mind boggles, it truly does.

Hmm yes because Stoke on Trent is a truly thriving metropolis thanks to our membership of the EU... Shakes head in disbelief. You couldn't make it up and it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Hypothetically speaking......is there any monitoring of the people who get on the coach to confirm they then actually attend the march, or will it just be presumed they didn't piss off shopping for the day? Asking for a mate

Why will Stoke be fucked without the EU's help? Are you saying Jezza/Labour are as shit as the Tories?

Lets hope on leaving they start replacing the EU flag with the union jack to show all the projects our contributions paid for

If you live in a poor area it is your best chance of getting funding, the EU do not have voters to appease so tend to spread the money to the poorest parts which central U.K. government tends to ignore. Ormskirk has been in line for a by-pass for 40 odd years with money promised and then withdrawn so the EU WAS THE BEST OPTION !!

Ormskirk has been in line for a by-pass for 40 odd years with money promised and then withdrawn so the EU WAS THE BEST OPTION !! Let me see if I've got this right.... You're saying that Ormskirk has "been in line for a by-pass" for 40 years or so. All of that time the UK has been a member of the EU in one or other of its incarnations, and Ormskirk hasn't yet got its by-pass. But staying in the EU is still the best option for it? I've got news for you. If, after 40 years, Ormskirk hasn't got its EU funded by-pass, it ain't going to ever get an EU funded by-pass. It might, however, get a UK funded one at some point in the future if it can present a strong enough case. (or if it can become a marginal constituency)

I used to drive for a living and if your going to southport your route will take you through Ormskirk beggars belief that they haven't built a bypass when other areas have been catered for[Alderley edge?]getting past that church in a hgv takes some patience I can tell ya.

It was in the running for EU funding which as i say now won`t happen,as for being a marginal constituency even with Corbyn in charge of labor i think that is a long shot .

I am still of the opinion if Corbyn had put in any sign of being pro EU we would not be in our current crisis,i seem to remember he gave the EU 7.5 out of 10 which is hardly a endorsement,i agree about Cameron but do not support Corbyn or his view of the Labour party

If it hasn't happened by now, it's not going to happen, and never was. The UK, on the other hand, does have a rich history of building by-passes and is a better bet for Ormskirk.
