Butland 7.5 (Not much to do, but looked safe today, also his kicking.)
Martina 6.5 (Something didn't work out defensively down our right side in the first half, but better in the second.) Williams 7 (Not my favourite player, but had a good game today.) Indi 8 (His best game this season!) Pieters 7.5 (Did exactly what to expect from him today.)
Ince 7.5 (Looked like our only threat going forward.) Woods 8 (What a player we have got hold of!) Allen 7.5 (Starting to show why he is so highly rated now.) Etebo 7 (Tries too hard to impress at times when an easier solution would have been better.) McClean 6 (Looked very hot headed today, and his impact on the game wasn't that impressive.)
Afobe 6.5 (A very difficult task up front on his own today.)
Berahino 6 (Not easy to come on under such circumstances.)

Woods 8 Allen 6.5.. I found Martina largely poor first half, bar the cross, but excellent second.

Woods and Pieters done good ,Martina defending good ,but gets into great positions to cross and end product shite That’s why he’s on loan at Stoke and not starting for Everton. At least we have four defenders that are starting to gel and keeping clean sheets. As long as we don’t keep conceding stupid goals, we always have a chance of winning.

Weird how we all see it. Etebo and Eric joint MoM for me Definitely. I thought Pete had his poorest game for us so far yesterday (Leeds debacle aside)! Especially in possession. Jack ( 7) - Solid. As others have said, he didn't have too much to do, but he did his job well when called on. The whole side will benefit from back-to-back clean sheets, but none more so than Jack I would guess. Martina ( 7) - Really seemed to struggle for the first 20+ mins; his positioning was everywhere other than where he should have been. To be fair though, the team seemed to work through it and he steadily grew into the game and had a really good 2nd half. Williams ( 7.5) - Best game for us by a mile. Looked a good partnership with Bruno on the day where they covered for each other really well. Bruno ( 8) - Just carried on his form from the Bolton game. Very good. Ekker ( 8.5) - A superb day for Erik. He's had many (many) a poor game for us recently, but he was brilliant yesterday. Blocked shots, tackled well, stuck to his man and made the most interceptions of anyone else on the pitch. Etebo ( 6) - It was an ok day for Pete; put himself about and saw plenty of the ball, but thought he was poor in possession and looked totally lost when put out on the left wing. Woods ( 8) - Not sure there are enough superlatives for this guy. Often looked the calmest person in the stadium. Should stick with playing in the defensive and middle thirds though; seemed to get a nosebleed from being too high up the pitch on a couple of occasions in the first half Allen ( 8) - Like Ekker, seems to have turned a corner these last 2-3 games. After what I thought was a messy opening 15-20 mins where he was in 'no man's land' a few times, he seemed to get it together and really made his mark. He's no creator, but in a defensive-minded game like yesterday he really gave it his all. Drove forward when he could and always made himself an option. Ince ( 7) - Was our only real creative outlet (again). Wasn't at his most influential, but the best of our attacking play seemed to come from getting him involved. Got stuck in 2nd half and helped Martina out on several occasions. Worked hard. Afobe ( 6.5) - When the team passed it to him, he held the ball up really well. Wish he would put himself about a bit more when we're not in possession, which he seemed to do once he had a strike partner alongside him and he came to play slightly deeper. McClean ( 4.5) - First game in a while and it showed. Was just all-round poor. Gave it a go and got stuck in to help defensively but was woeful in possession, and considering he's playing as one of the front 3, created the square root of f*ck all. A 41% pass accuracy for a professional footballer who played two-thirds of a match is just terrible. Not a good day at the office.

If you only go by the 10 mins video highlights at the official site, Ince MoM without doubt!
Butland, Martina and Woods also seemed to have a good game. No player terrible.
Who played on the left side?

Who played on the left side? Tony Waddington was interviewed by Granada TV after watching a Stoke victory at Man. Utd, his reply to being asked about the game was, “Watching those highlights I thought we were going to lose”. Never judge a game by its highlights.

Woods ...10 Erik ...11
Everyone else 8
Except McLean ...6 Martina ...5
I don't mind Martina going forwards But as a defender ...omg !! He doesn't bother to stop the cross at all ... what is the point of a full back , who doesn't stop the cross ????

And omg, with Souttar injured yesterday it really looks worrying at defense.
