Angela, it does seem unfortunate that on field performance doesn't get onto the agenda or mentioned. Surely customer satisfaction (or, in this case, dissatisfaction) with a product is a key element of business that a supplier and it's elected customer panel should be discussing.

Thanks Ange. "B. Smoke breaks at the bet365 Stadium. The council had been made aware of an alleged incident when a small group of fans (without tickets) entered the ground at half time when doors opened for fan “smoke breaks”. The Club advised that outside movements are actively monitored through CCTV and Stewards, but agreed to revisit a risk assessment in view of new information." Once again a small number of tossers can spoil it for the majority. If this happens too often then I can see a point where the stewards will need to see season cards and/or tickets to get back into the ground after a 'smoke break'. OS.

5. New match streaming
General comments from outside UK fans have been positive regarding live streaming. Quality is generally high, but some teething issues still being worked on. The Club confirmed that some issues have to be worked through the service provider rather than themselves, but they are committed to seeking continuous improvements with the provision.
That's one way of looking at it...

Thanks for that.
Can I ask that the council raises the issue of "street" lighting on the walk away from the stadium over the A50 bridge to Heron Cross. None of the lights work meaning the entire stretch is in pitch black. This raises any number of potential safety and security issues.
I appreciate that this might not be the club's responsibility but the safety of their fans should be a major concern. Could they raise it with the local authority and if necessary offer to pay for new bulbs to be fitted
It's the little things like this that make fans feel the club cares about them.
Thanks,

The primary purpose of the Council is to discuss supporter experience related items . Though an extensive discussion of on field activities occurred at the final meeting of last season, the club stated at the time that this was a one off due to the unique circumstances at that time. Hopefully, the final meeting of this season will not result in one off mark 2.
We will raise the lighting issue. As usual any comments, questions for the next meeting can be mailed to Chair@scfcsc.co.uk

That piece on Delilahs is pretty symptomatic!
The action is not how can we make it more attractive to fans as a package of ideas to get them here earlier and stay later to ease the still horrendous congestion pre and post match. It's about roping it off to tick some EFL box.
You've still got it, Tone. You've still git it kid.
Useless.

I would happily turn down a tour of the stadium, just because it's got zero imagination. Sterile Funnily enough this brings back memories. I had a birthday party at the Victoria ground when I was probably 6 or something And I remember it's character, it had an indoor football hall somewhere where we played, I swear it was within the stadium 😂 but I remember it's character. I then had one at the Brit not long after and we played at the side of the pitch, on a tiny area with cones... The place was as sterile then as now. Zero memorabilia, zero inspiration. I would think coates would use it as a second home, be proud of it. Instead it's a function room like you say. Something at the club smells. Disconnect between fans and club is sickening. Yes they want cheaper prices, brilliant. But seriously, a fans club? Far far from it

Was the question asked about doing something with the corner of the ground where the players tunnel is? It looks shabby and needs updating.

If you go to a theater and nip out during the interval for a quick smoke - you have to show your ticket to get back in. Are you saying that this doesn't happen at the Bet 365? If not, why not?

All of this is a reflection on the C.E.O's dereliction of duty. It seems that none of the Coate's family is checking on what he does of what he's responsible for. The whole of Stoke City Football Club. From top to bottom. Can you imagine a C.E.O. in industry getting away with it? He should be walking around the whole of the football clubs activities, making sure that they are as he wants them to be. Or maybe he does, & they are!

Delilah's bar is a joke. It should be packed every game. Charging fans to get in and using the excuse of controlled measures is piss poor. They have someone on the doors surely having a capacity allowance is not difficult to work.
If free entry I would certainly go most games, instead not been for about 5 seasons. Would be good if more pressure can get this changed.

"The Club confirmed nothing is currently planned in terms of a bundle offer. The Club does not favour a deal to allow supporters to “cherry-pick” which fixtures to attend, but that pricing is under regular review"
Why? Makes absolutely no sense, some people don't have a choice but to cherry pick due to work commitments, being exiled etc?

Don't think I've been in Delilah's since we were last in The Championship. In fact I'd pretty much forgotten it existed until I read this thread! I see it's still as stale as ever despite a decade of big money to do it up.

Having danced around it and avoided the issue my bro and i spoke about this season for the first time the other nite, agreeing that:- end of last season was exactly the right time to chuck in our season tickets. 4 things swung it. 1)an appalling 'watch' on the pitch. 2)the awful commute on the infernal m6 goi g north- 3) the joke access and car parking facilities in and around the ground itself and lastly 4)the last word in mid sixties east German architecture which is the ground itself. I.e. truly a cheap looking 'soulless dump'only recently looking anything like fi ished off, lacking any character or, any attempt to make/instill or reflect any warmth or feel toward the clubs rich (e.g delilahs) history nor, make any attempt to make it welcoming or interesting to visit it in its own right. A shame really, but we're not missing the 'matchday experience' at all and, we are very unlikely to ever return, sad to say. (Good riddance you might say) and, thats entirely fine by us).

The issues with the stadium, access and parking were all there through the last decade in the Premier League, yet amazingly you managed to drag yourself down there.

We even score some of them 2) the m6 on a Saturday is arguably the best day of the week to use it. I leave Burnley at 11am and am in pub by 12.30. I never leave before final whistle and am home before 7pm having dropped off in kidsgrove and alsager 3) parking at heron cross or bfm Europe is a piece of piss and access and escape is easier than I can ever remember it 4) what the fuck are you talking about? The simple facts are you turned your back because we got relegated. Simple as that. Just turn your back in this board now and we'll all be Happy! Ps...you'll be the first to moan your arse off when your unstinting support doesn't qualify you for a ticket for the play off final.

So you've stopped giving a fuck about going matches now we're down, is what you're saying isn't it? Admit it and stop giving other faux reasons for why you would get rid of your season ticket. You have a season ticket to watch the match, not to fucking examine the stadium like Kevin Bastarding McCloud like an episode of Grand Design commissioning a rebuild. The stadium isn't the best, we get it, don't try to wing it in to your excuse not to go the matches anymore.

The stadium's about par for the course these days in terms of modern builds and I really can't see for the life of my why it would impact my decision to attend games.....but to each their own.
Let's not forget, the Vic was an absolute shithole at times but it was OUR shithole. Additionally I genuinely think one of the biggest successes of the decade PL stay was maximising the potential of the ground, it does feel like Stoke's home to me....never as much as the Vic but certainly more so than the days of sub 10k against Notts County.

There was even a small tuck shop inside the 'players lounge'. When your team weren't 'on' we'd run around the Boothen stand concourse and sit in the balcony overlooking the Boothen End. Also Christmas parties were great, they'd be a disco and buffet in the Stanley Matthews Suite and then 'Crab Football' in the hall upstairs. The Stanley Matthews Suite was so much better than Delilah's. Junior Potters was great for getting the kids involved. I've just signed my lad up to Potters Power or whatever its called. He got a scarf through the post - in JP we'd have a presentation in the sports hall, after a Saturday match and players would hand out our membership packs/goodie bags.
