He simply has to go if we don't win on Saturday. Another embarrassing defeat on TV will do for him and his pygmies. Who do you want next, Pugs? Moyes would do for me although I'd sound out GNev and Henry.

6 pts My glass is half-full. Think we'll win both. OK last Satedee was dire but if anyone witnessed those last 10 mins we had our team back. The ability is there, we are stuck with the players we've got its down to Rowett to sort it. Go for it Stoke and believe!

6 is the only acceptable haul from these games for a side with promotion hopes.
I will be surprised if we get 2.

The thing is we'll get 6 points out of the next 2 matches then lose the 2 after that, struggling to get a run of form which is frustrating the fuck out of me.

The fact that our defence is so shit. And the fact that we cannot bring in any improvements until January ( apart from free agents who will probably not improve us). And the Fact that Rowett is not going anywhere. Perhaps, we should adopt the old adage "that attack is the best means of defence" Go all out attack from the whistle. Lets just do a Boskamp. Can't be any worse, probably scare the opposition shitless. 6 points in the bag. Lets just do a Boskamp. On second thoughts perhaps not

They have to prove themselves to the fans... the people who invest their time and meagre (in comparison) monies in following Stoke over the years. Stoke City, the likes of whom without, these same players would not be enjoying such life. They don't though? They socialise with fans? Talk to them much? Live with/around them? They will get paid regardless. I'm not sure even shawcross gives a damn about us having witnessed on numerous occasions last year and even previous (?) Conflict and evident exchanges of disagreement/disrespect. If that's the captain then how can the rest really give two fiddles about us low life? Fans have so little influence/power over these guys. If they feel hard done by, they get paid, I'm assuming they're give very little care about the club (see the efforts). On the basis of human psychology alone, it would only be natural for them to be the "journeymen" we see week in week out. The aging players who have been there done that will be replaced if there's any success at all and probably know it. What is there to prove???? You are right... perhaps I’m being a little too nostalgic in wanting Stoke to succeed

You are right... perhaps I’m being a little too nostalgic in wanting Stoke to succeed There's faith and there's blind faith. Different aspects. I want them to succeed, do I expect any of them to turn out a worldie? Absolutely not. Do I expect them to play as a team at a minimum? Yes! But they are not even doing that. Rowett really isn't too blame here, if it's obvious that tactics are the issue and the players are doing ok then fair enough it's on him, but that's not the case. The players are the joke and well, so many of them know this is their deathbed. What do they have to play for?

In normal circumstances, it'd have to be 6 against 2 of the financially weakest, making-up-the-numbers clubs. But I probably would take 4, given where we find ourselves. We used to be jealous of Bolton. Now I'm worried we'll start to emulate their darker days.

with the teams at the top dropping points lately we need all 6 points then we will be back with the pack. after Wednesdays second harf performance I am convinced our best way to go is to attack from the off. bojan ince berahino afobe are all must starters for me.

There's no way he will be fired even if we fail to win either, unless it appears he's lost the dressing room, clearly he hasn't yet.
