It's not just Shawcross playing badly and it's unfair that he is getting the major share of criticism. It's BMI too. That pairing just isn't working. They both need to be replaced, but could they be replaced at the same time? Maybe Martina can replace one but who can replace the other? I haven't seen Souttar play..is he ready?

I don’t personally think that Jack Butland is Captain material. In fact I’d say that he hasn’t really played that well this season either. If we are looking to replace Ryan, even temporarily it is difficult because we do not have any ever present players in the team. I would probably go with Allen. He will play most games. Tries his best in all games and is in central midfield, Which is probably the best position for a captain to play. Just my thoughts, but I realise not everyone will agree.

When Rowett was struggling at Derby he changed the system to 3-5-2 and it wouldn’t surprise me if he goes this way in the coming weeks.Clucas will be back soon and I can see him or McClean as the left wing back,Thoughts?

Martina hasn't played centre-half for 3-and-a-half years since his days in Holland.
He would be a shot in the dark there, but persisting with Shawcross-BMI probably isn't an option.
Souttar would be a similar punt at 19 with just half a season at a relegated Ross County under his belt.
Is leaving his sole guy in the defence (Martina) out for Edwards likely after he was singling him out for praise last week?
So is just Williams in for one of the centre-halves enough of a shake-up? Probably not, but it is maybe hard to see anything more than that at Rotherham?

Straws and clutching comes to mind?

Clayton Woods is on the site of the cross country course from St Joe's playing fields...I hope that Rowett dishes out as much pain there tomorrow as I used to suffer week in week out!

They don’t need to warm down when they haven’t warmed up during the game Ange.
