Jesus can we get any worse....no fan of Pieter's but I'm sure he could bury one.... It's a joke isn't it? It cost us our premier League status, and here we are still doing the same. Joke club

How hard actually is it to take a penalty ffs

Its a free for all with penalties. Whoever grabs the ball and shouts loudest gets to take it.
Its actually reminiscent of schoolboy football with players arguing over who gets to take a penno.
Shockingly amateurish

I love how there are loads saying Bojan should take it yet he missed his last one in very similar circumstances against Bournemouth

I think Woods might be a decent shout. Has a calmness about him. I mean I can’t be much worse than the rest can he..

Reminds me of our Primary School football when i was young. Every match we had a different Captain and when the match came round that it was my turn we got a spot kick to which i strutted forward proclaiming "I'm the captain so i'm taking it!!!" Yep, i missed!!!

I do not understand how a professional football club does not have a designated penalty taker. And second choice in case first isn’t playing. And third choice...even SJW could miss the odd one but this is taking the piss.

Just been told by a source close to the club, apparently it was Berahino's ball and he said he was going home with it if he couldn't take the penalty. Also, his Mum's famous egg sandwiches would not be part of the post-match tea for the rest of the season....

It was a situation for a calm head and someone to take a fucking deep breath! I said to myself anybody but Berahino he just doesn't have the composure. Only Woods seems to have a calm and mature head on his shoulder or maybe Erik. The penalty miss summed up what a shambles the afternoon was presided over by a manager who is clearly floundering and sinking fast.

Is it true that Berahino has now missed five (5!) penalties in a row?

Crouch Bojan Ince All would be very comfortable taking a penalty. Fucking Berahino?? I’m furious That’s the FIFTH straight spot-kick Berahino has missed. Three for West Brom (including two in one game at Northampton) and now two for us. My heart sank the moment I saw him grabbing the ball. FIVE missed in a row!

I love how there are loads saying Bojan should take it yet he missed his last one in very similar circumstances against Bournemouth Difference is that the Bouremouth one was the only penalty Bojan has ever missed in a Stoke shirt, and he's scored a handful. Berahino's penalty record for Stoke and WBA is absolutely atrocious. But I honestly think the Bojan debate is neither here nor there. The bottom line is that the manager should have a list of penalty takes, in order of preference, and the players should be forced to stick to it. You should practise penalties, and you should have a list of takers. Then when you miss one, the player and the manager can both hold their hands up - and as a fan you can acknowledge that these things sometimes happen and you move on. Look at the long list of players who have missed penalties this club has missed over the last few seasons and it is a different player every time. I can only presume that we have no list and no plan; it's an absolute disgrace for that to be allowed to happen under multiple different managers at a professional football club.

Pieters Is a great shout on pens even under that pressure or even Ince because he has the ability and power to smash it. Plus Bojan was on the pitch aswell again great calmness and ability to slot that in.
I new Berahino would miss he always does.

I surpose Rowett will bring in a penalty coach such as Matt Le Tissier to join his band of merry men..... going down that road is not really working though is it....
