130 years ago we played our first ever football league game, a 0-2 defeat at home to West Brom in front of 4,524 supporters.
We finished bottom that season, and our tales of woe have pretty much continued since then..... :-)

I was there was only 1 though. Apparently the 17 yam yam fans were signing "we always beat the stoke" which was a factually correct song at the time.

Is there anyone on here that went and can tell us what the game was like? Nothing in the way of tactics, though at least everyone wanted the ball - ten men after it every time it was loose or a West Brom player had it.

Despite the self-deprecation (which is totally fair), it’s something to be proud of isn’t it? Come on Stoke!
