Eliminated from Europa League before reaching group stages
1 point from 4 games in PL
Gash team which was riding on it's luck
However Dyche's luck seems to be running out and to me look odds on for relegation

They'll be OK now they're out of Europe.
I think Cardiff and Huddersfield are nailed on to go down, and I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say that Newcastle or Southampton will join them. Hopefully Southampton.

It eventually catches up with all teams that play like it's the 90s.

I created a thread last week about Burnley... I think theybeilll struggle they are conceding goals which is one of the reasons they’ve done so well. They are now maybe trying to be more expansive and due to the demands of the club, similar to Pulis and maybe they’ll take the same path as us.. they should have enough to stay up there are a whole host of crap teams. Surprised at Wet sham being bottom, but they’ve made a lot of changes..

Hopefully they'll go down but I can't see it.

Wolves, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Huddersfield are their next four league games, I'm predicting they'll take 7 points from those games and things will start to look brighter for them. Dyche is an excellent manager and he'll stay calm and get them back on track. They'll be closer to 10th than 20th by the end of the season I reckon.

I don't think we are in any position to take the piss out of Dyche, to be honest.

He's a great manager , they are in Europe and have had a tough start to the season fixtures wise. If only we had someone like him we wouldn't be where we are now

Dyche's luck?
What he's achieved at Burnley isn't down to luck.

Even if they went down, who would you want take you up, I mean he's done it twice before. Dyche doesn't ask for any extra funds and made Burnley millions. They won't go down anyway, So I'll shut up.

Elimination for Europa Cup may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. The only time they are ever likely to compete in such a competition and they are out before they even got to wear Europa league badges on their shirt sleeves and it's a blessing? Everything that is wrong with modern day football in one sentence.

Last season was exceptional in that all three promoted clubs stayed up, Newcastle, Brighton, and Huddersfield.
The reason I believe was excellent teamwork resulting in great synergy.
Burnley were another team who performed better than their squad strength would suggest, resulting in them comfortably exceeding expectations. I for one expected the Burnley bubble to burst and it didn't, as was the case with Leicester a few years ago when they were Champions.
Teamwork will win points, but if you don't have true talent in side then results can turn against you if the teamwork starts breaking down. A club needs to have some exceptionally talented players to survive in the Prem.
The Burnley team are essentially a year older and have added little strength. If Dyche can't keep the passion going, then they will slip down the table. The same is true at Newcastle, Brighton, and Huddersfield. Fortunately for them I believe two of the promoted clubs, Cardiff and Fulham, are not as good as they were when they were promoted a year ago.
Therefore we might return to the usual formula of 1 or 2 promoted sides going straight back down, coupled with 1 or 2 the sides that narrowly avoided relegation the previous season, which would be Huddersfield or Southampton.

Teams learn quickly in the PL - if you've got only one way to play, it had better be good! Look at our advantage of the early years - long throws and 'the cage' - got steadily eroded. it took about 2-3 years before it became more ineffectual. Has it got even quicker? Huddersfield look to have got found out as last season went on, when teams had a second bite at them in back end of the season. They went from 11th on Boxing Day to the brink of relegation

It’s still early but they were my prediction to go down this season. Seen all too often in the premier league.
