1. It’s difficult to be positive about a team selection that was clearly in appropriate ( his decisions), tactics which were either inappropriate or not effectively executed, substitutions which were baffling and didn’t work However it’s not his fault that we missed the penalty, nor that the referee didn’t send off the player. However, it his fault that he cannot get a tune out of supposed premier league players, or those he chose to replace them and it is his responsibility to motivate them and give them confidence within their individual roles and the shape and vision of the team. The truly sad thing is that the sending off or not and the penalty miss will possibly be used or accepted to excuse a pitiful performance

He looks lost and totally out of his depth , he’s here for the cash and the big pay off if sacked , on yesterday’s game we were awful and lacking any tactics which boils down to him so a 1 from me

The look on Smudge's face at half time pretty much summed it up Poor selection, very poor (strange) substitutions and, once again, a team showing far less energy and invention than the opposition Ironically, we could have nicked it: Peno goes in,they panic...hey ho...deserved, and got, nothing What do they practice? Crossing the ball? less than 5% of our crossing attempts actually beat the first defender...shocking Only plus point(s), Ryan Woods looks the real deal, with energy, accurate passing and really wants the ball..so that's him on the bench next game 2*

5, I didn't mind the line up given the previous game, but it was pretty clear after 10 mins Crouch was ineffective and offered absolutely zero, he needed to come off at half time, his first sub completely fucked it, left himself no real room to manoeuvre after that, he was stuck, and clearly had no idea how to rearrange the team.
The sooner he drops Crouch the better.

Really zero , but I have a lot of sympathy for the mess Hughes scholes and carto have passed off , onto him
Too much talk not enough action.
He talks well about what is wrong and then does nothing about it .The next week , we just play the same
I am of the view, that he is a Lambert downgrade , at least lambo had some impact in improving the players fitness and their discipline ( eg picking up runners ) making us more compact , more organized and harder to score against .The players actually showed a bit of fight for him .
If it's true ( as suggested on here ) that Lambert wanted the board to sign Dwight gayle .That would probably have been more helpful than getting in Rowett and afobe .
I can't really see the point in GR telling everyone what is wrong at stoke , then next week the players play the same .
The players have to react and change , as a result of what he is saying , or it's pointless him being here .

Obviously didn't want to change a winning team from the start, which i don't agree with, but isn't a heinous crime. The subs killed us. taking off said removed the tiny bit of creativity and possession we had up front, not hooking Crouch meant we played 90 mins with 10 men effectively. Afobe on the wing was ridiculous, as was Allen at 10.
4 instead of 0 because honestly i thought we played alright, we just needed cutting edge up front instead of Crouch. His plan was obviously to get the ball wide and cross, which happened, but was slightly fucked by the fact our 6'7" striker can't win headers. Should've taken him off but unfathomably didn't.

2 He continues to make some baffling tactical decisions and they just don't work. When he was appointed he did tick a lot of the boxes for a manager in this division. But i am shocked at how badly he has managed since he has been here. It genuinely looks like he has just walked into the building and the players are not convinced.

Starting with Crouch is enough to give him ZERO.

0 What was the positive from the game?
Rowett seems to see what he wants to see, still doesn’t know his best 11. Changes formation like he changes his socks.
It’s been said many times, He’s out of his depth. I think the board will wait till end of September we will be ten games in... we will then know I think how we fair I’m this league, bottom half is my prediction. It’s a sad state of affairs
