So they are at it again.
Having caused the mayhem in the first case of paying extortianate prices for hold luggage and so revelutionising passenger trends to hand luggage. Initially argued to decrease weight loads, fuel costs , and global warming etc.
Now they are reintroduceing charges for hand luggage. A very unpleasant airline, inefficiently and arrogantly run.
Eg. Book two seats say for you and the wife. You will be at the back, she will be at the front. Pay extra and you can sit together.!! Would prefer to pay extra elsewhere unless I have no choice.
They will no doubt get away with it, and then all others will follow..

This whole ‘pay more for seats together’ thing drives me mad and they all do it.
We’ve just booked ( not with Ryan Air ) and had to pay extra for seats together. Just me and my wife travelling so why do we both have to pay extra ? I book a seat and she pays to sit next to me. I’m not moving seat, I’m staying where I was so why do we both have to pay the same charge ?

We flew on easyjet recently and they charge to sit together. It was £3.95 per person outbound and £4.95 per person on the return flight !
We didn't pay the extra and were seated separately on something like rows 6 and 20. Fortunately the person next to me on row 6 was travelling alone and didn't mind swapping seats with my wife on row 20. Loads of people were complaining about the charges and quite a few sorted things out on the plane. There's no logical reason why they can't allocate two seats together, it's just yet another money making scam.
I have flown with Ryanair several years ago but it was a lousy experience at check-in, during the flight, and waiting at baggage reclaim for over an hour at Stansted, and I would never fly with them again from choice. Now they're going to charge for hand luggage as well it would serve them right if all travellers decided to use other airlines instead.

I don't mind not sitting next to my companion(s) short-haul. It means I can have a read or a kip in peace, especially if it's an early flight. Plus I can ogle the stewardesses at leisure 😎

They must have been the ones who failed to get in at the other airlines ! To say they were "plain" looking would be an understatement.

I'm usually looking at the legs anyway. It's the nylons for me 😊

Flew with Ryanair years ago and now I outright refuse to fly with them.
Going to belgium later in the year, Ryanair were £30 return. I've opted for the Eurostar instead.
Thai BA Bangkok Airways Tui - long haul
All great to fly with

Having flown many times with both RyanAir and EasyJet, I've literally never had a bad experience with either airline.

I know two pilots who used to fly for Ryanair, after listening to some of their experiences I'd rather not fly with Ryanair. You think it's a dodgy company on the passenger facing side, well you want to see what goes on in the parts of the company that the passengers don't get to see.
We once flew quite some way across Russia and Siberia in an old, patched up AN-2 with a pilot that was more vodka than man, and I'd say that was a safer option than Ryanair.
