The fans are more or less unified, in their disdain for the board and general ineptitude of the club over the past 3 years.

Fans made it clear last night that their not happy & things have got to change.. The press have picked up on numerous elements of it, Rowett even touched on it in aftermatch interviews too, so the powers that be will be fully aware that fans aren't happy as they shouldn't be themselves either. But what do we do as fans, start the Hull game off in the negative frame of mind we left the Wigan game with..? Not a good idea..
We need to get behind the team now as their confidence is shattered anyway so I really see it that together we need to try & regroup and try to turn this situation around..
Recall Villa fans were booing Villa at the start of last season and some were calling for Bruce's head. Look how they clicked and made it to the play off final, narrowly missing out on promotion. Where were them booing fans at Wembley pre kick off, probably singing their hearts out in anticipation.. Bad starts happen, its how you regroup and improve things that should be judged on.
Yes if things don't improve they'll be a time the screw needs turning but we're only 4x games in and it's too early for fans to throw the towel in just yet..

No, I think that the OP is implying that unity has many strengths and benefits. Plus united strength is stronger.
What Churchy isn't saying is that blind followership is worse than bad leadership. Ergo, if we stay united with OUR team and call a spade a spade then a shit manager will be foxtrotted orf...

Hard to have unity or any sort of connection with a team full of money grabbing mercenaries that wouldn't give a flying dog turd if Stoke and the surrounding areas fell off the face of the earth
Beyond "Hi Mr agent, is my contract still valid? Falling off the face of the earth doesn't void it does it?" That is

Show dissent after games, but not during. The important thing during the game is that the players have the best environment to play well. That said, when we were 3-0 down, fair enough cheering when fletcher went off etc.

They've had long enough, even through relegation. It's time they started being accountable. That goes for the players and the shithouses in the directors box.

Winston Churchill 1942 Nice sentiment, but if Churchill had the setup we have, we'd have battering rams instead of tanks and clubs instead of Lee Enfields and Sopwith Camels instead of Hurricanes. Passion from fans is great, and to be honest I think we've been quite patient considering we've been in terminal decline for 18 months, but support cannot fix a fundamentally broken and rotten system. Following blindly is as bad as not following at all. Happy clapping is going to solve absolutely nothing.

It's got to be worth a try ... even for the most negative out there. There's no magic wand! Some of the suggested solutions ... (I keep seeing 'get big Sam in') are not going to happen. It's time for everybody to pull together as one. Definitely the players and manager ... but fans need to encourage. It may get reciprocated with a bit of desire and willingness to push on. We can only hope, as there isn't really any alternative in the short-term.

Increase unity by signing ROBERT HUTH, who is currently a free agent. He is better than Williams anyway and can score too.

We can only hope, as there isn't really any alternative in the short-term. You could literally have posted this 2 years ago, and it wouldn't look out of place. That's how long we've been absolutely shite for. The club needs a "major overhaul". We as fans, can't make Darren Fletcher run faster through shouting. He needs replacing, like 50-70% of the squad, and that's the fundamental issue. No matter how loud we support or how much we clap, we can't make players better than they are unless they are playing a coherent system. It's been like this for 2 long long years, the board acknowledged the issue in the summer and then did nothing, and people are pacified because of the words "overhaul" despite nothing happening.

Well in fairness I thought the atmosphere last night was pretty positive for the first 20 minutes until it all turned to shit. The players got a decent reception when they came out (although that bloody announcer must change his embarrassing script). The supporters only became unhappy when the performance disintegrated. But no supporters can be happy watching that shitshow, and they've paid their money and are entitled to have an opinion - and to voice it. However, I never have, and never would boo any player wearing a Stoke City shirt - but that's just me. I don't presume to tell others what to do.

I'm not saying turn on the negative atmosphere before the match starts, though I would like to see some verbal grief directed at Scholes and Cartwright. But it'd make no difference to these lot if there were 50,000 cheering them on or if the stadium was empty. The level of support they had under Lambert was exceptional, and largely unwarranted. It made a fat lot of difference other than the players coming out with the same empty platitudes they peddle out now. I don't know how supporters can be expected to be the ones to carry the team after the last 2 years of piss poor and unacceptable performances.

I don't know why we'd want a toxic atmosphere at all to be honest. Get behind the players, if not the board, and hope we win. Don't have to carry them, but if they walk into a stadium where everyone is whining like a load of toddlers having tantrums the players will start the game in an awful frame of mind.
