Grounding his players after the win. Nothing new.

Tbf after 20 minutes we could have easily been 2 up but that’s just us, we didn’t make the pressure count.

Surprised he wasn’t more honest and say what a shower of shit we were.

What he meant to say was: “Stoke were fortunate that we didn’t batter them 5-0.”

They did score with their first two shots, and then we just went to pieces.
Wigan worked hard and got their just deserts.
At least they had some shots on target.

Decent manager is Cook. We could have got him for less than Rowett, he has no problem in jumping ship either.....

But the first two goals are stopped if Pieters does his job last night. The peno for me is on McClean.

My only quibble with this summation of last nights game was that the third was also on Pieters diving in and getting done in front of the dugouts. Two passes and 10 seconds later they had a penno. I agree McClean should have covered but he wouldn't have had to if Pieters had just stood up.

He doesn't spot the danger until it's way too late. Walters used to do the same. He's reactive and not proactive. By the time he realised the left back had gone, he was 30 yards away and I was down the stairs giving him all kinds of abuse for being useless.

What he meant to say was: “Stoke were fortunate that we didn’t batter them 5-0.” Honestly there were a couple of times second half they broke through and looked too embarrassed to take the shot in case they scored again, that we were that bad is shocking

I think McClean is utter dogshit. But in my opinion all three goals last night were down to Pieters recklessly diving in and not winning the ball. There were other factors involved but if Erik either wins the ball or jockeys the player and holds him up, none of those 3 goals is scored.

I sit on the side McClean was on and spotted that long before it happened and was ranting before it happened. It was a good rant.

Pieters lunged in on their wideman right on the touchline in front of our dugout. The little fella just turned him leaving him in a heap off the pitch. The ball was then swept out to the other flank where their other winger skinned our other fullback and swept the ball across goal for Allen to do the business. If Pieters just jockeys him or even fouls him for fucks sake, none of that happens and McClean's or Allen's inability to track back isn't exposed. PS I don't want this to sound like I'm scapegoating Pieters because he wasn't alone in being wank. Far from it. It's just that, in my opinion, in his case his wankness cost us 3 goals.

Tbf after 20 minutes we could have easily been 2 up but that’s just us, we didn’t make the pressure count. And one very poor error led to total capitulation. Cook is right in what he says, it's just Stoke fans can't see it because they're mostly as hot headed as that prick Ashley Williams. I get the booing but aiming songs at Rowett was embarrassing.

We score those early chances, get some luck from the assistant, it's a different game We don't throw the ball in our own net twice, it's a different game.
I completely get what he's saying. Football fans are mostly very reactionary.
That said, our players are unbearably weak minded.

Honestly Gravy, I wouldn't worry about scapegoating. Erik Pieters is utter utter wank. I don't think I could ever "hate" a player who plays for us, but seeing him every week is such a sombre thought and I am sick of the sight of him. Being row 1 at Leeds and seeing him take a throw in for us was the moment of realisation when all I could think was "just sod off Erik." THat was before we went 1 down, and supporting Stoke I know I shouldn't have those thoughts but he just needs to go.
