I was told that at Derby his style was counter-attack, fast football.
It’s early days but can anyone detect what style of football we are likely to play?
Will there be a style?

None at all and that is worrying. In his interview last night he admitted that hoofing it to Crouch was the only way to go why we were struggling. I'm baffled he seems to have no plan at all. Hes playing players who are in really poor form as well. McClean, Fletcher(past it), and Shawcross.

There’s no style that I’ve noticed, it’s chaotic to say the least

He doesn't know his best team, he doesn't know what formation to put them in, the midfield is shite, we look disorganised at the back, lack creativity up front, and there's no discernible style.
There's very little to suggest we'll do anything well this season.

I would say his style is a total disorganized mess and that I could do better myself.

How come no one has added his comments this week? That we're not playing the football he'd like us to be playing, because confidence is so low that they can't seem able to pass the ball 5 yards, so are playing anyway necessary to try grind out results to get the confidence up, so we can then play the way he wants.

my first impressions are we have no style or ideas other that hoof it forward and hope something comes of it. we have a different starting XI every week which means he does not know his best team, reminds me of a certain brian little who at the end of the season had no better idea of his first XI as at the first game of the season.

So far there has no been no discernible style of play.
The team has looked clueless.
Lambert's plan of high press worked for as long as the players could run (55-60 mins) and became kick/rush/panic at the end of a game. As styles go it was pretty basic: compared to Rowett so far it was a tactical masterclass.

Never mind his football philosophy and preferred style of play ,I'm far more concerned that 2 games running he has made a substution that absolutely killed the team of any attacking threat.
I just hope that's not a sign of things to come.

Once hes got to know the team (and the window closes.) He will be very Pulis like in his set up and all the moaners will shut up .Then I will be complaining about the style we play as we get promoted. You cant win as a Manager.

Again, I have a feeling he wanted to play a high pressure 433 with lots of possession and heavily reliant on movement from midfield. He then realised that didn't work.
Now he seems to be just wanting to grind out wins to raise confidence, then start implementing some proper football.
I'm probably fine with that tbh, I just need him to drop Fletcher and Allen to quash my worry.

A zip cardi and a goatee beard, really quite the 70's look. Here he sings about his transfer team.
