Everyone went on about how poor Liverpool were and they were poor but we simply didn't allow them to get going. We dominated and NZonzi ran the show in the middle, while Arnie played with Can.
How it all fell a part I dont know as that team and the one that should have been 4 up at half time against Arsenal were on another level to what we were used to.
Hughes got a lot of shit and rightly so as he tried to go too far into the tippy happy side of the game.
That said the owners and board need to take the brunt of the blame and as seen this window, they haven't changed massively regardless what Coates said.

Will we ever see that kind of forward line up again? Pace , movement and skill. We really missed the boat by pushing on regarding transfers the following season. Just over two seasons ago and look at us now.

The pitiful and useless 7M we got from selling Nzonzi a season too early looks even more stupid now in hindsight.
We should have kept him and let him leave on a free, which would have left more balance in the team while we looked for a replacement (not Imbula)

Went for Imbula B. He went to China Would have been mint, and he's a dirty horrible bastard on the pitch which we needed.

Our best Premier League result. And I missed it. I also missed Crouchies Thunderbastard v Man City.
The rule seems to be, when I'm not there, good things happen.
I'm there today folks 👍

Thought it was only me. We were moving house for the Crouch goal and l heard Stan Collymore nearly jizz when the goal went in. Then was my sister's 50th for Liverpool game. Only upside was that her husband is a Liverpool supporter and my son interrupted the meal by tapping his glass for silence every time we scored. How I wish the if Liverpool fans were commentators clip was still on YouTube.

A special day for all Stokies of course, but for any kid who grew up outnumbered by mocking Liverpool "fans" in a Stoke-on-Trent school in the 1980s/early 90s with Stoke in the 2nd/3rd division, this day was extra significant. We had to wait for it, but we ended up inflicting their worst league defeat in living memory on them. Unimaginable and unforgettable.

He wouldn't have gone in a major sulk at all would he?

The only time I ever bet on Stoke. I happened to be in Las Vegas at the time and got up at 6:30 in the morning to watch the final day matches. I never seem to gamble but for some reason I had a great feeling about our team that day and put 100 on us to win. I think at +330. All the games were on in the Sportsbook but there weren't many people up watching the games that morning. Still I was representing Stoke yelling my head off like a mad man that day.
