I hope we don't allow our heads to be turned by the fact that his throw led - indirectly - to a world cup goal. He did about ten other throws in the one and only game he played and they all went nowhere. Moreover he cost his side a goal at the other end and was turned inside out by Peresic throughtout the game. He's probably worth more than £750K seeing as that is an almost giveaway sum in today's market, but he's not an improvement on Tymon. Thankfully its very unlikely he'll come up against anyone with the quality of Peresic next season.

Christ 750k is an insult you can’t get a non league player for that. He’s an international why do we mess about Tyring to be “cute” it just results in deals stalling. We don’t deserve to be a PL club with this small time mentality. Just pay what he’s worth. Possibly because they probably valued him at 3m initially. Think of it like the Brexit negotiations

Offer too little and it's the club being shit by trying to be cute. Offer too much and it's the club being shit by paying over the odds. You lot move the goalposts on every transfer at the moment. Give it a rest. There’s something in the middle that’s the right amount Spot on, and you get to that by negotiating, 750k starts it off.

Ipswich fan / Potters Season Ticket holder here.
Jonas Knudsen would certainly do a job for Stoke this season. He was signed by McCarthy & has been drilled to play the McCarthy way. He's a very solid defender who has been playing as either a left sided center half in a back 3, or most commonly as a left back in a back 4. When he arrived he was criticized for making the odd mistake, but has since grown in consistency & become a very decent & versatile player (similar to Erik Pieters)
He's not got lightning pace, but is quick enough, & has the potential to adapt to Rowett's style of play & become even better as he comes in to his prime years. He has certainly been getting forward more of late & has chipped in with a few goals during his time at Ipswich. 2 of those were against Norwich in derby games so he clearly has the potential to be a big game player if you also take in to account the World Cup game against Croatia, as this was only his 4th game for Denmark.
1 thing I do know is that he'd give his all for the club & is very passionate/loyal. He's quite similar in attitude to Bauer & I think Stokies would take to him very quickly.
Also for those that are skeptical that he's not a name people have heard of. I'd like to point out that I bet a few were scratching their heads when Jon Walters left Ipswich for Stoke, & that didn't work out too bad.

Horseshit. He had two good games and one of those he nearly fucked up (liverpool) with a wank backpass and a strong penalty shout. If he only has to defend we will be OK but if Rowett wants us to attack via fullbacks then Pieters will fail miserably again...

Quite excited by this one. A fullback with a long throw and offering 'week in week out' pressure on Pieters to perform. Spotted this lad in the world cup and to my eyes, theres nothing not to like about this.Just hope it comes off.

They'll take £1 million I reckon, with maybe a promotion bonus thrown in based on number of games.

You must have forgotten what Pieters was like in the first 30 games, and the year before. He'll cost us dearly. He doesn't need back up, he needs replacing.

Town fans are a realistic bunch & a fee of just over £1 million with a promotion top up should clinch it due to his contract (although I believe Town have got an option on him for an extra year) But for whatever reason I don't think Hurst fancies it & wants to bring in his own players. I'd be more than happy to see Knudsen applauding us down the Boothen End next season to a chorus of 'we love ya city'
