Kevin wimmer, Saido Berahino and Gianelli Imbula were each worth more than our ground! Let that sink in.

Lerma has never struck me as being that much use. He's all right but not 27m worth of use.

It hurts to see a shitty, little tin pot club like them looking to spend this sort of money. Relegation still pisses me off and Coates, pizza boys, Hughes and Lambert are still leaving a bitter taste for me. As it stands right now with the current squad, I just can’t see us going back up. So hope I’m wrong.

No sniggering please, but Bournemouth could be sleeping giants.
Just check out the population numbers in a 25 mile radius of Bournemouth and the Premier League looking socioeconomic status of those within.

several Bundesliga clubs were interested in Lerma. but they were not willing to pay over £8.8m.
8.8 Seems more on the mark, looked average in the WC.
Where the fuck do they get 27M from? - This is why I consider talk of 21M for Badou cop-out despite the profit made, if we sell at 21M...

Let's hope for a bit more fun this time.

The transfer fee was up to 15m Yes, we'll be definitely paying the full whack won't we?! Those bonuses for all the goals he's smashing in and international appearances are going to sting us immensely I reckon.

Haven’t you got a wonderfully funny transfer rumour to come up with Mr no life? What I’m saying is at a potential 15m, the club are willing to pay more for Saido Berahino than they did our Entire stadium.

It just goes to show what minnows have to spend in that league even to survive
He's probably signed up for a 38 game relegation battle where they'll finish in the bottom six
I'd hate another season of that to be honest
Excited about this season, hope it pays off 😬

No sniggering please, but Bournemouth could be sleeping giants. Just check out the population numbers in a 25 mile radius of Bournemouth and the Premier League looking socioeconomic status of those within. I'm not sniggering, because they could evolve as you say, but would need some very prudent, very intelligent long term planning to do so. Portsmouth are another club that had grand visions built on a perceived opportunity - invested big on the pitch - and did not have the solidity behind the plan.

The size of transfer fees in the PL is becoming alarming.
Twenty Mil plus for ordinary players whilst in the Championship clubs are spending fractions of that sum.
The old and established pyramid system of promotion and relegation must now be under tremendous strain with many clubs in the second tier and below accepting that attaining the heights of the Prem Lge is unobtainable both from an ability and financial position.
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Clubs attempting to break into this elite Lge will have to take on massive financial risks.

I’m amazed they’ve managed to stay up for so long considering they keep selling their best players year in year out. Even now you’ve got Spurs looking at offering £30m for Lewis Cook.
