What do you do if you have Sky via NowTv?
I've got the full Sky Sports package through that but I'm not sure there's a red button option.

You can press the red button on a load of channels (broadcast via airwaves, not web TV) to access additional content, including Sky Sports channels. If you're watching those same channels via NowTV (web TV) then you don't get the red button option, regardless of channel.

I've got a NowTv dongle with just the full Sky Sports package. What a bunch of cunts!

Will these count as "selected for TV broadcast" and therefore not be available on SC+ Live then? I'm starting to get lost with this..

If that's the case SC+ Live are really going to struggle to meet their promise of streaming "the majority" of Stoke's games for overseas fans too. We have 11 midweek games this season, if Sky cover 12 more weekend games (only just over one a month), that's half the season that's not viewable on the club site.

So can pubs show these midweek games via the red button too?
Be good for trade for local pubs if so.

It's not clear, I agree, but I would guess that red button games probably would still get streamed. It won't affect me but it certainly wants clarifying for those it will affect. In this context though, Stoke have got 8 midweek fixtures (not including any re-arranged games), not 11. There are four others that are also scheduled for weekdays but they're all on bank holidays at 3pm so they're not covered by this arrangement. This is only for the eight midweek rounds of fixtures - four on a Tuesday and four on a Wednesday for all Championship sides.

This is an amazing step forward for live football in the UK, isn't it?
Great stuff.
Interesting to see how attendances are hit.

Not everyone has or wants sky You've missed the point mate, Stoke can't stream the games that Sky are showing. Stoke can't stream Saturday games. The only games Stoke were going to be able to stream for UK customers were non Saturday games and Sky are now showing those via the red button. Ergo Stoke don't have any games that they can stream to UK customers.

Not everyone has or wants sky A decent IPTV service will allow you the full Sky package for around £6.75pm. I've got both (only because I'm still on a verrrry heavily-discounted Sky package) but I'll be going 100% IPTV when that's up.

This set of Tues/Weds fixtures will be the first bit of league-wide red button action then, will it?
Including us v Wigan.
I'm a bit surprised the clubs agreed to it, but presumably it was reflected in the level of the deal when it was agreed.
It'll be interesting to see if attendances are hit a bit this week around the league.

No me neither mate because I was usually still pissed off from the match the last 18 months Yes you definitely can fellas I've got Virgin, but if my recollection is right the red button didn't work for the choice of Premier League highlights on Saturday nights. Will it definitely work for these Championship games?
