The Not The Top 20 podcast is mint. They've done a 1-24 rundown of the Championship; our rivals will include Middlesborough, Brentford and Preston.

The Not The Top 20 podcast is mint. They've done a 1-24 rundown of the Championship; our rivals will include Middlesborough, Brentford and Preston. They're the three I rate as the best teams left in the league from last year. Villa may bludgeon their way in and Derby will be competitive. Sheff Utd should be there or there abouts as well. Leeds if they get it together. Then obviously Swansea and West Brom and us. So three from 10?

There are some big clubs in this league but I wouldn't have even considered Brentford before reading the article. I definately need to do some brushing up too

Anyone expecting a romp against them is in for a rude awakening.

What price 3 red and white striped teams getting promoted?
Ourselves, Sheffield United and Brentford.
No, I can't see it either!

.... those boys on the podcast certainly know their stuff, except that I’m a bit anxious about them picking us as champions. As has been said many times, we still need CD cover (? Chester not coming now), DM (surely we could get Jedinak from Villa), winger (? Ritchie still possible), striker (Newcastle not selling anyone to us?). However, of upmost importance is shifting the deadwood

Different managers, same recruitment, analytics and tactics. See Swansea a decade or so ago. I'd even go as far to say I'll be surprised if they don't make the top six.

As mentioned, the Not in the Top 20 podcast is worth a listen to get a feel for the league. Whilst it's going to be a tough season we're going to come up against some utter dross!
Personally I think they're underselling Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday, and overestimating Bristol City, Wigan and Rotherham's capability. Also, I thought people were tipping Ipswich to go up or at least be in contention for the play offs under Mad Mick?!
They're certainly not confident about Potter at Swansea, nor West Brom! they have them 11th and 12th! And are going big re: Brentford!!
Ben Marshall gets a mention as a new signing for Norwich. He's not had a bad career since leaving us. More successful than most of the people who 'come through' our academy.
And some interesting comments re: Leeds/Bielsa starting fast but fading badly at the tail end of the season.
Fucking hell, I can't wait for this season to start, even watching them Derby cunts on Friday night. Their squad worries me.
Obviously they have the mighty Potters as top dogs and they're full of praise for our recruitment and tenacity in keeping quality players and getting Rowett in early. Are we overly critical in comparison to people on the outside looking in?
