Just settled their FFP case with the Football League for 42 million + Embargo until January
Oh dear!
Edit: Simply staggering figures, when winning promotion in 2014, QPR's wage outlay was just shy of 200% of their turnover. Stunning.

17 million fine to the Football League, 3 million paying for legal costs and the remaining 22 million is the withdrawal and cancellation of loan money to the club from shareholders. Ouch.

Think it's harsh to blame Hughes for the spendings at QPR, somebody had to sanction his wishes! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

Don't think the wages offered to Mark Hughes signings for QPR helped them a lot...
Nedum Onuoha - (£3m - £55,000-per-week)
Djibril Cisse - (£4m - £60,000-per-week)
Bobby Zamora - (£6m - £70,000-per-week)
Samba Diakite - (£3.5m - £45,000-per-week)
Federico Macheda (loan)
Taye Taiwo (loan)
Andy Johnson - (Free - £40,000-per-week)
Ryan Nelsen - (Free - £35,000-per-week)
Stephane Mbia - (£5m - 50,000-per-week)
Robert Green - (Free - £50,000-per-week)
Park Ji-sung - (£2m - £70,000-per-week)
Junior Hoilett - (£4m - £50,000-per-week)
Esteban Granero - (£3.5m - £65,000-per-week)
Julio Cesar - (Free - £75,000-per-week)
Fabio (Loan)

But I think Harry Redknapp's mitts are all over this one
I like Harry , but he is as dodgy as they come .
Something is amiss when your dog has a Monaco bank account

Edit: Simply staggering figures, when winning promotion in 2014, QPR's wage outlay was just shy of 200% of their turnover. Stunning. It is right and proper they are getting hit hard but the correct punishment would have been to stop their promotion at the time for what was quite simply cheating. If the financial details were not available in time to prevent the promotion they should have been automatically relegated the following season, which in their case would have been to Div 1. There is also the question of financial loss to the club they cheated out of rightful promotion.

To add context £17m will be paid to the EFL over a 10 year period, £3m for legal fees and £22m will be turning outstanding loans into equity.
So not as catastrophic financially as the headlines suggests, but they look to have a poor squad and a transfer embargo will surely make them favourites for the drop.

Still a few on here that think we can play fast and loose with FFP. Include the Villa situation into the examples and it's clear we need to be vigilant over the next three years. This window has been brilliantly handled so far from a FFP point of view. Fingers crossed we get up in the next two years.
