I recently cancelled Virgin and hope I never have to deal with them again.
I have no interest in a landline or TV as Fee View and Amazon Prime provides me with all I need. Therefore all I would like is a internet broadband provider to use with lap tops, pads and if possible a computer.
I have cable to the house. Any recommendations positive or negative.?
I recently saw a advert for Talk Talk at £17 per month for 24 months but a guy in the pub (there’s always one🧐) said he would not recommend them. Sounded Ok to me.
Any advice would be great and hopefully a thread may be of help to others .

Perhaps some other provider is cheaper and just as good but I am reluctant to change because I've had problems with Sky and Talk talk previously

He had had problems with Talk Talk and is now with BT. Thanks for your reply.

Broadband provision is all personal choice based on price. Often it comes down to customer service. All the infrastructure is owned and serviced by Openreach who are obviously a BT company. Every other provider leases their kit from them. If your an XYZ internet company customer and you have an issue basically you report it to your supplier who then in turn reports it to Openreach. It's often cheaper on other providers but you get monkey service rather than organ grinder.
All that said even the organ grinder service can be dog shit.
I'm with BT and every 18months I spend an hour with their sales team on the phone bartering the cheapest contract I can get. It's close to the market cheapest but I get the satisfaction of whinging to the infrastructure owners when things go wrong.
They do require you to have a phone line though which I barely use. The alternative would be a 3g or 4g box using the mobile networks on a data only contract, this would be capped on a gigabyte basis but wouldn't have a line rental attached.
