God, I'd love him to be shit!
Anderson - Arnie - Yarmolenko
I want to take the piss about how they throw money around but it'd hard to envision that front three being anything other then really quite decent.

Never heard of Anderson. 40m is big money though. Fair play to them they seem to be doing some good business and getting their targets in though the door, though they do seem to be players just under the top level. A bit like what Everton did last season. Where they seem to be very lucky and have the advantage over most clubs is the deal they got with the OS allowing them to make all the duff deals they want without really needing to worry about trying to balance the books. Strikes me they’ll be ace when firing but awful when not with their 3 Mavericks. But for the OS I think the way they operate they’d be bankrupt. I’m pretty sure they’ll keep doing the same every season without ever having any real continuity.

Not sitting on their lourels He who dares Very easy to dare when you are handed a gift worth £300m all paid for by the taxpayers plus a guaranteed £20-30million payout a year for the next 99 years!!! They are getting a free ride so not at all surprising that they are not sitting on their laurels

cobham - get over it - the OS deal is done to death and delivers the Olympic legacy (Sky Sp1 now etc..)and by the same establishment that's negotiating Brexit But the OS is not the reason IMO why we seem on the front foot and spending money this window. Net player investment last season was just 7m - indeed many wonder where the missing millions went after the sales of Payet or simply the no proper investment at all, given the regular Sky windfall. I read somewhere we had made decent profits last season (including player trades) and rumours Sullivan had sold a % to investors and had a budget of 75m for Pellegrini. As usual I expected us to be adding a mid-level RB, DM/AM etc.. with a couple of Sullivan wildcards, freebies and loans to shuffle the pack. That we'd probably be linked with anything that's kicked a ball along with global stars but sign none - or the least desirable being another expected default - so I'm as surprised as anyone with the ambition we're showing. Given the Dave's usual bargain MO these signings seem like Pellegrini/Huselos picks and with MP having been seen at a number of WHU games last season - both under Bilic and Moyes - it's clear now, Moyes was caretaker till MP became available. The zero spend under Moyes plus the efficiency and quality (on paper) of our business so far. suggests his planning involvement long before appointment. It does almost seem like to land MP, Sullivan has had to make commitments to stump up for a new first team and plan made some time ago.. Mario, Evra, Hart (big wage) plus a few others have already gone and I guess it's common knowledge Antonio, Kouyate are likely sold. And based on who we've brought in, Reid and Carroll also look likely expendable with injuries preventing them being sold this window. Apparently MP quite likes Snodgrass!! Haven't got a clue how we're going to play but we've under a month to turn into a team for Liverpool away first game. Gonna be an interesting season.

We’re never going to agree on it and I’m sure I’d be saying what you are if the shoe was on the other foot. What I would say though is no one else other than Hammers fans take your stance. Good luck for the season could be interesting I think you’ll end up 7-16th as I don’t think you’ll have quite enough to break top 6.

Thank you... Any detail on the figures? Or have they been dragged out on being released? I did note something about London being responsible for £21m of expenses for something last season... can’t remember but it surely raises questions on fairness in using taxpayers finance.

Seeing as we are effectively shareholders in this club, shouldn't we get a windfall if they get into the Champions League?
Not that I think they will, but they could feasibly do a bit of a Leicester I suppose.

You can`t blame West Ham for other peoples errors. If Peter Coates had seen this opportunity he would have been over it like a rash. Brady and the rest at West Ham must have pissed themselves when it got signed off.

Best we can hope for is that West Ham some day cease to exist as a club. I utterly despise them. I despise the fans, the club, the players, the staff, the whole lot.
Standard wanker hammer fan on the radio "but we wan tha waaarld caap in 66 innit, fack off".
Would love to see west ham fans blubbing into their lagers while hugging a copy of green street.

Brady and the rest at West Ham must have pissed themselves when it got signed off. Its not a matter of blaming West Ham, that is not the point at all. The point is they are a club subsidised by the taxpayer with all the privileges that go with it, because of a dodgy deal done between Government ministers from a Party getting donations from the those they handed the Stadium to. They are getting advantages that no other club are getting. If we were in that position and had gone about it the same way I would fully expect us to be the focus of the wrath of football fans across the country.
