In an unashamed advertising ploy the Apedale railway at Chesterton is running it's brilliant ww1 recreation weekend. Tons of stuff going on, well worth a visit. End of advert.

I saw a poster for this earlier whilst driving- is this finished now? It is yes. The effort that went into the weekend was amazing. It's an annual event.

Really gutted I missed it. I saw a poster by Morrisons in Cross Heath, first time I've been round that way for a while - really gutted I missed it.

I've never been to it, but have known of it taking place for the last two years.
I imagine they'll have put an extra-special effort into it this year in view of this year being the centenary of the end of WWI.

It's improved year on year, and it's all on our doorstep. Going down the mine for a couple of hours has to be done. All extremely professional and safe. Nice place.
