Hardly open to every Tom Dick and Harry.Only season ticket holders so you would imagine loyal fans all around. All fans are loyal in one sense or the other, but those who trawl down to Swansea on a SKY televised Monday game as well as the glamour ties at Old Trafford/Anfield deserve to be at the front of the queue...... I get what your saying I have 50 points. I coach a youth football team that play Sat morning. So thanks to policy of 40 points I can go Leeds and Preston. As our season does not start until September.I don't see myself as not loyal just unable to attend as many away games as I would like.

Tickets will be available on Friday (or whenever they go on sale to all Season Ticket holders). The points requirement is always set at a level below the allocation - there will be less than 1,487 people on the system with 40+ points, which shows how inconsistent/poor our core Away following has been for the last two seasons.

Don't know why I am not allowed to buy a ticket for my Dad when he's on the friends and family and has 80 points. Very frustrating.

Yep similar to me I coach a kids team on a Saturday, I went to the likes of Brighton, West Ham and Bristol City away last season but not the games at Liverpool, Spurs at Wembley etc. If I'm available for a game and I can get a ticket happy days, if I'm not because I haven't got enough points then I'm cool with that.....

If someone from the Supporters Council could point me to where this agreement is minuted it would be appreciated as if those who go to every away game are missing out it's a scandal......

I purchased my Leeds and Preston tickets at 12.00.01am this morning absolutely no problem! My 245000 points helped though admittedly. I don’t work either, so with only having Jeremy Kyle and loose women to be up for, staying up well past midnight is normal for me. Hope to see as many of you at both games as possible. Up the bloody potters!

They've either done this wrong or there is a problem in the system because they've let me keep 70 points - but taken everything else. Which means they've credited me for 7 away games last season when I went to them all. Overall, it doesn't really matter, as I have the 40 points needed, but it's still a bit of a kick in the face.

The points system has to be bollocks though.
Because of work I have been to one game in the last 3 years which was Rochdale at home last season. I therefore have 15 points.
My brother who is a season ticket holder and went a good few away games last season doesn't have 40 points.

If he used his own season card and went to 4 games then he should have at least 40?

Not sure what the clubs game is here making it only 40 points ? Thought they were supposed to reward loyalty and guarantee those with a certain amount of points a day or two to guarantee their ticket ? Add to that there’ll be a few people on holiday and they gave just 11 hours notice before they put them on sale Every Tom Dick and Harry has 40 points, it’s a fucking shambles again My thoughts exactly! I've got 120 points and I can't get a ticket because of this change, fucking madness. I'm sure they'll release more but that's not the point. EDIT - In fact I now have 70 points as they've taken some away - I'm guessing because they're old(stupid rule - I still paid and went regardless of how long ago it was) - is that why they've dropped it to 40 points? What do you mean you couldn’t get tickets? I phoned up a bought tickets two hours after your comment was published with no problems. BTW I have 140 pts.

Work at it, put yourself out like the rest of us have to.

I can’t give you a date off hand but I was on the Supporters’s Council at the time and what the club say here is true. I think this system is as fair as you can get. The current season plus the previous one is the right time period in my view so that it’s not based on ancient data but doesn’t penalise fans who have had an unavoidable break. If someone thinks their points total is wrong they should take it up with the ticket office because it’s difficult to see how this could happen if all tickets were bought under the persons individual number. 40 points is not a very big total for the first round. Just 4 games from the 19 league always and however many home & away Cup games there were last season.

The initial lot sold out quicker as the points required was dropped.

There does appear to be a problem with booking on line with an i phone because the quantity keeps flipping back to zero but I had no problem using a laptop. We have all lost points since the end of last season because the 16/17 data no longer counts. It is just the current season ( for which obviously nobody has any points as yet) and the previous season. This in part may explain why 40 points is a lower threshold than some expected but I’m sure the ticket office will have selected a threshold where all qualifiers could get a ticket within the allocation. If Jurgen went to all away and Cup games and all were purchased under his/her own number, there is no way his/her points should be reduced to 70 and I would advise exploring that with the ticket office.

Regarding the iPhone problem, you have to put 111 tickets (or as many 1’s that you can add) and it automatically sets to 1 ticket. It’s a problem I raised around two years ago that they have been ‘sorting’ ever since!

It would take some software developer about a day to fix a problem like that.

Useful info for the future but it is difficult to believe that that isn’t a problem which could be fixed very simply and 2 years is ridiculous 🙄 I will raise it as well to give you some backup

I chaired a small working group to recommend a system, and the club more or less accepted our recommendations. It certainly should be in the full Council minutes but without trawling back through them all I couldn’t be certain about that. Its about 5/6 years ago. Replaced the old Platinum plus system where you could pay to buy yourself into the top priority category which was in our view unfair.
