Guess who got Saudi Arabia.
That's five quid I'll never see again.

I was going to say they can only get better ! But having seen them today I think it was almost men against boys. I should think Suarez and Salah can't wait to play against them.
It's teams like this that make it a farce that FIFA expanded the number of qualifiers to 32 teams. The teams Saudi beat in qualification must have been abysmal mustn't they ?

Saudi were awful, even against what looks like an average Russian team - the centre-halves looked particularly dreadful...

The number of times they tried playing out from the back, without the necessary skill & nouse, and ending up losing the ball in their own half was shocking. Like watching Swansea
I'm in a different sort of sweepstake run by a mate. £5 per team, only matches in the group stages count:
£40 to the team who score the earliest goal in a match £40 to the team who score the latest goal in a match (Russia looking good for that already) £40 to the team with most goals in their games, both for and against (so whoever got Saudi Arabia is in with a punt) £40 to the team who collect the most cards - 1 point for a yellow card, 3 points for a red
I drew ... Argentina. Have to think they have a chance in all categories but especially the cards.
Tomorrow's match v Iceland I'll be creating personal history & for the first time in any match I'll be cheering on the ref
