Although I was genuinely gutted when we got relegated and feared the worse once it happened, the last few weeks has put the worries to one side.
It's clear to see the club are doing what they can in order to make a swift return the Premier League by the end of next season.
I've now not been this excited for a season to start for a good while. The rebuild has started and we will return stronger.
We will get promoted.

I've seen us play at Wycombe, Bury, Wrexham and Northampton in the league. No point having any fear. Less queuing the further down the pyramid we go! *Unless we go bust...ahem.

It's a competitive league, with Aston Villa, Mboro, Brentford, Millwall, Swansea, WestBrom, Derby County, Leeds, Ipswich, Nottingham Forest, Preston and ourselves.
Did I forgotten someone?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it! ✌️

For the last few seasons there has been far too much negativity around the place.it now feels like everyone is pulling in the right direction and I am really happy with out transfer dealings this week.

I'm excited but it's measured. There's no reason why we can expect to go straight back up but really looking forward to winning more games.

Gutted about relegation but had seen it coming the moment I realised Hughes was still manager at the start of the season ::)SOOOO with the unusual but welcome non-dithery steps the powers that be have made to get in a hungry, young manager and a couple of early strong signings I am now feeling excited but as always erring on the pessimistic. I really do think we needed to re-set, take stock and get back some of that hunger and enthusiasm that we seemed to have lost as a side and as supporters. It's going to be hard let's not kid ourselves but at least it looks as though we all now mean business. The last couple of years saw us free-falling. There wasn't much joy. Shit needed to happen to make us all wake up. Bring on the Championship, and fingers crossed we can return to the Prem, bigger, badder, stronger recapturing that essence that we'd all lost. GOARRRRRRRRRRRN STOKE!!

Fear. Fear that another relegation looms. I don't share anyone's excitement or optimism. We're going into a really difficult league with much the same crap players we had before, less the few with any talent, and with the addition of what appears to be a handful of also-rans, led by an unproven manager who will be learning his craft with us and if even moderately successful will quit immediately someone offers him more money.
Some of our fans think we're certs to go straight back up. It doesn't work like that and there are teams down here ready to tear us a new arsehole.

Reasonable excitement and optimism
It is a difficult league with some well equipped teams
However, we have a clean slate and look to be buying exciting players not prima donnas and the troublemakers have gone
We have to approach it the right way as a team and supporters

We're achieving nothing until we are rid of them all. Imbula, Berahinogoals, Wimmer, and others. All need to be out the door, and probably won't be because we couldn't even give them away.

Now I'm even more depressed, although at least he's gone. Bit too late though.

Expecting to be challenging for automatic promotion. But we must bring in three more top championship players, their experience is essential.

I'm neither excited nor fearful. I remember our last stay in the Championship and it is a swamp that can suck any team down. I'll wait for Christmas to see how we are doing and then decide whether I should get excited about promotion or think about another year in the Championship.

Excited, bring it on. Just hope that the lessons learnt have put a stop to the slide and we can regain a team spirit and fight and far more winning points than the last 2 seasons.
