None of these Sky, BT or now Amazon understand the nature of football fans outside the top 6.
I do not have the slightest interest in watching Manure, "City" ( which city) Chelsea, Arsenal etc.
All the Premier League and probably the Championship matches are recorded each week if only to create the highlight shows. I would happily subscribe a reasonable fee to watch the Stoke game each week.
I cannot attend the games now having done so for many years, I have supported Stoke since 1958 and will always do so. At present I stream the matches, easy in PL, doubtful in championship, therefore I give no financial support to the system. No revenue will be lost from me and in any event attendance money is a minute part of the club's finances.
Time for a rethink

Won’t be long before premier league fans are filing into the ground at 3am on a Sunday morning to appease a tv network in some far flung country..

I used to be dead against the idea of a European Super League. I used to think if you took Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal etc out of the domestic game it would destroy it. I used to think it was completely unfair introducing a higher level of football without relegation and promotion, denying teams below hope of ever getting there. I used to think it was unfair that we would never have access to the big time, that we would lose out on money and a better quality of player. Now, I'm more than happy for English football to shed a few blue chip names in order to get our game back. Fuck them off, let them go. I used to be proud that we had the so called best league in the world, that everyone was jealous of our domestic game. It's a curse though, not a blessing. Fuck em off and start again. To be honest, this could be a really good thing, and I don't see why there cant be relegation and promotion to the Super League? I don't know how it would work with all the different Football Associations wanting equal representation but I think it would be a great idea. It would make the Europa League achievable for smaller clubs and stop the wank rule where Man City or whatever drop into the Europa League from the Champions League. Just trying to think how relegation / promotion would work, where say its only the smaller La Liga clubs or Portuguese clubs probably finishing bottom most years. Maybe a bottom 6 ? and the champions of every Association involved get a birth? I do think it would be a good idea Every time it's been mooted it's always as a set of fixed clubs with no promotion or relegation. I also question whether things like the Europa League would still exist with a super league in place.
