If Howlett is appointed. Who will he likely poach? Dunno, but I bet he’ll change the walkout music

Say what you might about Cameron Jerome, he’d have hit the onion bag with most of them Diouf sitters last season.

Oh I have no doubt about that, we’re trying to build a team better than that. I just wanted to throw it out there that if it were to happen (which it won’t), he would still bag up more than Mame.

I don't imagine Cameron Jerome's return will be greeted by the popping of champagne corks and a ticker-tape reception in Fenton but honestly in the cesspit of our recent striker acquisitions he's probably no worse than anyone else.

Jerome? Jesus is it that bad in SoT? He’d give his all no doubt, but he’s not better at finishing than Diouf. It’s a real wonder how people think that’d get us into the Prem 😂

He won’t be going for Jerome within decent money to spend.
You would think any targets from Derby would be:
Carson - we will be after a keeper and by all accounts he’s been the best player at Derby the last couple of years and deserves a premier league club. Davies- last year of his contract so probably gettable at a good price. A good championship centre half who would be a solid addition Vydra- Bags of pace, scored plenty in the championship last year and Percy says he’s available for around 8m It just depends on what formation we would use as I don’t see him as a lone striker.
Beyond that I don’t see many others from Derby who would particularly appeal.

Lawrence was signed amid much fan fair from Leicester, but has not exactly set the world alight.
Would Huddlestone be worth a punt as the holder in the middle who can pass a bit too? He might be okay, as long as he has pace around him as he has the turning circle of an oil tanker.
Thorne has talent, but is a real sicknote.
Vydra would be my favourite of their squad, Carson a close second.

He missed those kind of chances with us all the fucking time. If you want to have a crack at Diouf fine but don't tell me about what I've already seen with my own eyes. Jerome has tripped over more blades of grass than Emile Heskey. H

I’d have scored them.

H I remember that Europa League game when the foreign commentator said he had the touch of an elephant...and that was one of his better games for us too! He is straight out of the Ade Akinbiyi/John Gayle/Dave Regis school of strikers - a big, muscled bulldozer of a man, but verging on zero technical ability or game craft. The reason he scores some scorchers is he can thump a ball, and occasionally they go in the right direction, mostly when he has no time to think about what he is doing.
