Attacking football played with the right components. Not negative defensive shite. Macari was excellent wasn’t Barca easque but always attacking always trying to win not playing for draws. Even Pulisball with guts can be exciting. Trouble is he’s got no balls. Never want to watch long ball football to a slow weak target man again in my life apart from that I’ve got a fairly open mind.

We've been both for a short period under both Pulis and particularly Hughes. Especially when Arnautovic was on form, in opponents faces, using his strength - that goal where he set up Bojan for example. I'm optimistic we'll be in the Premier League again, but I can't see us playing brilliant football like that again on more than a rare occasion.

Or something like the current Brighton team. Also to stop focusing on stopping the opponent and more ‘let them worry about us’ |

Exactly....... a team that can play a bit, but mix it up when we need to! Remember the 2010/11 cup final season? We had some amazing performances with Pennant and Ethers flying on the wings, but we were still nasty as fuk with Wilko, Huthy & Co in defence. This game is all about a having a balanced squad that work for each other, whatever their strengths. |

Strong and powerful can be sexier than sexy. Look at most of the years of Utd Vs Arsenal. Utd were always a direct team, they just had technically sound players. Both can be achieved if you've got a coaching and transfer team that work together.
