I have to say we had the worst forward line in premiership history this season. Crouch too old, Diouf hapless, Cambell out of his depth, Choupa, injured or inconsistant and Shaq playing out of his best position (10) and with no one to pass too. We need pace and strengthin these positions something we have never had while in the prem (Fuller aside) and now have the chance to make a big impact. Can see all of our forward line leaving and we could get much better in the league we will be playing in next year.

Hope we can keep and get the best out of Choupo. Think he could be a real asset for us next season.

Seems like, aside from Zouma and Wimmer (hopefully) we won’t loose any defenders so really need to prioritise the forward players in this window!

No excuses if he wasn't putting a shift in, but hopefully a new boss and a more disciplined regime might see us get the best out of him. I could honestly see him doing for us next season what Arnie did for West Ham this season.

I think the hope was that Jese would be the man in the absence of a big permanent signing.
Sparky was at pains to call him an 'elite' player after his home debut winner against Arsenal. But sadly he didn't really feature again until the Brighton/Adam penalty fiasco 6 months later.

Hes not quite a wide man or a forward so perhaps he would make a decent no 10?

If Moyes or Big Sam gets the job , cheapo motel , Sadio etc will be out of the door quicker than you can say relegation

Saido has occupied more hrs of my mind than he should... The only hope is to genuinely exclude him from everything. Tell him he will never play or train again at Stoke. Just, to go away. (Or, he can accept Stoke's offer of £1m to end his contract here and now and they will help him find a new club) The hope is that the madness sets in and he realises that if he doesn't do something constructive with his life, he will start snorting again. Can't have that. Takes the offer, joins Bury, Nathan Delefonsu style. Or, he does start snorting, and Stoke sack him for gross misconduct.

All that's irrelevant to the point I was making anyway. Choupo's not Arnie, but then again, the Championship isn't the Premier League. I think Choupo could be a big player for us next season. To put it in terms you might just go for, imagine how good he could be with Pulis' man management skills getting the best out of him.

What did you mean then when you said Choupo could do for us next season what Arnie did for West Ham this season ? Arnie did his stuff in the Prem. I think Choupo could score us a similar amount of goals and be as influential for us next season, but in the Championship. Think of players like Gayle at Newcastle who look ordinary in the Prem but can rip it up in the Championship.

In a decent team with a decent manager we could have a real player on our hands, certainly in the Championship anyway.

Nail on head
Any manager is only as good as his players
We need a new manager and a new srikeforce
A new manager only, changes very little

Maybe it’s just me but I’m getting pissed off with all this inverted wingers/strikers false number 10s ECT
can’t we just sign two fast wingers who can beat a man on the outside and don’t suffer a draculesqe dislike of crosses
A big strong powerful striker who can head and a nippy small striker to take the knockdown
