Probably end up here next season 🙄 Can well imagine this happening.. He was born in Shrewsbury so guessing got local links still. Hart's always had a good rapport with the Boothen End too so we could do alot worse if he's available & Butland departs as everyone's expecting him do..

I agree, although he has been shite this season - he has a winners mentality. Seems to be one of the only footballers who speaks his mind in post-match interviews. VEry passionate guy, just what we need. Fun fact - my friend went to school at Meole Brace with him and lobbed him in PE - he mentions this every fucking time I see him.

I don't think he has a "winner's mentality" at all, quite the contrary if anything. In those England tournaments he always came across as overly wound-up, desperate to the point of anxiety to succeed, terrified of making a mistake. One of the most crucial ingredients of being a winner is to the ability to be calm and collected under intense pressure imo, and Hart hasn't got it. Few English players ever do tbh.

I'd much rather have somebody who is desperate to win and succeed in my team than the likes of Berahino,Wimmer etc who couldn't give two fucks. Nobody achieves anything the England set-up because they're wank, plain and simple. And you could say "yes, but he's playing in a Man City side with great players around him" but he's still got to have the mentality and ability to be the number one goalkeeper for 8 years at a club that could afford any goalkeeper in the world. He'd be more than welcome here.

Aside from my childish post above, if he did end up between the sticks for us I'd consider that a like for like swap for Butland so no bad thing really. Undoubtedly going to be one of the better keepers in the Championship if so.
Tough on Lee Grant who is a good enough replacement for Butland anyway imo.

Joe Hart would be an excellent signing for any Championship side. I'd take him in a heartbeat if and when Butland goes.

I remember Joe Hart playing for Birmingham against Stoke in the early premier league era. He played a blinder, and was MOM for me. He hasn’t gone poor overnight, but the right move would be a catalyst for improvement.

Looks like we are trying to line Angus Gunn up as Jack's replacement. Thank Christ for that as the last thing we need is another overpaid has been like Hart. Jack is better than Pickford and it should be between him and Pope for #1.

He's not good enough for England or the Premier League any more. I'd take him a heartbeat as one of 3 with a young up and coming keeper like we did with Bego and Jack. He would be great around the place at the right wages.

Why would anyone want him here? He is an absolutely woeful goalkeeper He's not though is he? He was probably the worst keeper in the league last season. Mistake after mistake. He was largely dropped for Adrian who himself was largely second choice for Darren Randolph the season before. Whatever Joe Hart once had, he has long since lost it.
