Thanks.
I remembered why i love this club. You made me exceptionally proud to be a Stoke City supporter. That's how you go down. With dignity, defiance and good humour.
Every step along the way.

Those last five minutes yesterday were my highlight of the season, it epitomised everything I love about Stoke City and why we invest so much time and money into following this club. I was worried yesterday was going to be toxic and unpleasant but it was the complete opposite, we showed great pride and unity and signed off in style.

It was a fantastic away day epitomised by the Swansea fans applauding Delilah and then us Stokies returning the favour by applauding Land of our Fathers.

Our real fans - the ones that actually go to games - have far more about them than some of the shit stirring self opinionated cock wombles on this board.
Great stuff - in a crap season you've given us something to be proud of. Relegation taken with grace and good humour - sheer class.

Yes. It was a fantastic afternoon spent with fantastic supporters. We'll be with you was spine tingling and Delilah was awesome at full time. Well done Stokies we showed the players and the hierarchy what the club means to us.

Emotional at the end with players coming into the crowd and giving away their kit Some definitely saying goodbye

Emotional at the end with players coming into the crowd and giving away their kit Some definitely saying goodbye Yeah, Shaq and Jack stuck around a little extra - definitely saying their goodbyes. Shaq took a good paused look back at the fans before he went down the tunnel, he's obviously gone. All the best to him.

Is it just me or does 'Land of my Fathers' make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when sung by a few thousand Welshmen? Rorke's Drift springs to mind!

Must admit I was unsure what to make of Lambert standing in front of the fans at the end while we belted out Delilah before he applauded us.

Delilah and We'll be With You were the most appropriate songs to sing at the end. Neither praises nor condemns any player or manager just demonstrates the fans continuing love for Stoke City whatever happens.

Best thread and responses I have seen on this site. Some probably thought it's a hell of a long way (it is), to watch two already relegated SCFC's, and as its S Wales probably be tipping down. What those who made the effort experienced was a very friendly welcome, a beautiful day and the largest away following at Swansea during our Premier League decade.
we also experienced the real Stoke City fan base, the loyal, load and very proud fans supporting their team, saying goodbye to several heroes (and villains). All done with pride and dignity and appreciated by players and all fans in the stadium.
Lets take this this spirit into next season and no one will be able to stop us!
Anazing day, amazing fans.
