Bring back Star soccer i say. Never liked Billy Wright, Hugh Johns and Gary Newbon though, but they were not anti Stoke. Gary Newbon apparently didn't get on with Jimmy Hill, so Coventry were often on last. It still annoys Coventry supporters decades later. But star soccer didn't work like that. It didn't show all the midlands goals.

We have fans that sing "Aaron Ramsey, he walks with a limp" and then we suddenly demand respect from everyone. The problem is us, not them. Respect is earned, mate. Ramsey and all associated with that vile club have done nothing to earn any respect from Stoke fans. Regardless of whether MOTD or anyone else gives us credit, we have stamped our mark in the Premier League over the last ten years. Arsenal fans will remember Huddersfield as that nice club that politely applauded Wenger for his last game and presented him with a nice half and half shirt. They’ll remember us as the team that routinely battered them at the Brit and mocked Wenger to the point of humiliation. Liverpool will remember us as the team that ruined Gerrard’s farewell party with a 6-1 thrashing, alongside several other times where we wiped the floor with them at the Brit. Man City fans night tell you they remember destroying us 7-2, but I promise you any of them who attended that game with the 80th minute roar and an unlikely 1-0 Stoke win, or witnessed Crouches’ wonder goal, or the BMX master-class when we played their highly paid superstars off the park will remember us differently. Spurs fans might remember a few 4 goal wins, but anyone who saw their goalkeeper reduced to a blubbering mess, or Danny Rose almost given a nervous breakdown, won’t forget us in a hurry. Regardless of what MOTD say, we’ve had plenty of moments over the last ten years that will go down in history, while the likes of Huddersfield, Brighton and any other number of clubs will go down without so much as a second glance. I wouldn’t change a minute of it if I’m being honest. Beautifully stated

The BBC hate Stoke on Trent they always remind us that were the brexit capital of the UK. Won’t bother to watch this programme again I listened to fightingtalk on radio 5 on saturday morning when driving, didn' catch the blokes name, they seem to think he was a comedian, but he was glad to see the back of Stoke from the PL, saying shawcross is a disgrace, Ramsey's leg, awful football all the time, blah blah blah, Also said he got chased through the car park by Stoke Fans probably on one of these. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0070hvs/episodes/downloads

And I agree with you, however what I said is completely different. Mocking a serious injury is not classy at all, just makes us look like mugs. Ramsey made a full recovery and has gone on to have a top class career for club and country. A few ironic chants are hardly grounds for pissing yer pants, mate. It's a serious injury to his career. It shows no class at all, have you played the game? It's not something to make humor of. Maybe if you were snapped in half and people were mocking you for it then you might understand.

What part of “full recovery” do you not grasp? He’s paid hundreds of thousands of pounds a week. I’m sure he can live with a bit of mockery from opposition fans. I’ve heard far, far worse and I don’t understand why you’re being so overly dramatic about it. Perhaps if he’d shown a little class himself in the years since the injury occurred, things might be different. Either way, I don’t really give two shits.

Ignore the post in which somebody highlights Arsenal fans hissing at Spurs fans or the fact that Man Utd and Liverpool fans have mocked each other about their respective clubs' tragedies, or even the fact that Arsenal have sung "Ryan Shawcross we wish you were dead" in our own ground. You just have a go at your own fans for a reactionary and retaliatory chant (which in the great scheme of things isn't that offensive) born out of that latter chant.

Full recovery or not, it's about some respect. Everyone in the league thinks we're a joke because of it and it's 100% true. It's not classy at all, you wouldn't mock someone who nearly lost their job due to injury or illness would you? You're utter scum for mocking that.

It was a broken leg anyway, a fairly common injury, nothing life threatening.

Nah nothing life threatening so let's take the piss out of the poor lad every time we play them to show how classy we are. If your reaction is to insult Ramsay who did nothing wrong because of how the media portray Shawcross then there's something wrong in your head.
