I'd take Big Sam if he'd be prepared to come but it's highly unlikely we'd be able to convince him to drop to the Championship.

1. He's got an ego the size of a planet and wouldn't 'lower himself' to come here. 2. His salary demands would be way beyond what we would be prepared to offer.

oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/279638/big-samAlready a thread on allardyce but yes i would have him here he'd properly structure the club and build it back up to bring a premier league club again but he'd want full control he said in an interview that at Bolton he even read the accounts so that shows how much influence he had and look what he achieved with them regularly finishing in the top 8.

No thanks did shit at Everton n one of the worst teams we saw this year n against 10 men Eh? Shit at Everton? They were nose diving before he took over. They finished 8th? Just behind Arsenal and Burnley I would take him in a heartbeat. 3 year contract. Get us up. Keep us up. Establish us. SGS

Reading that Everton may well also appoint a new director of football. Sam could bring Steve Walsh here with him. Now that would be an upgrade on Cartwright!
Phil McNulty - BBC:
“Vital few days ahead for Everton owner Farhad Moshiri to put his marker down. Allardyce replacement. Potential new Director of Football. Sort out Rooney future and appoint new CEO - the latter needs to be experienced figure not a safe in-house appointment.”

Any clamour for Allardyce doesn't add up. If he's sacked by Everton he's surely going to bank his nice big compo cheque, swan off on his jollies for four or five weeks and then sit with his feet up waiting for his next Premier League firefighting job.
If you want Lambert out and a quick replacement, then forget Big Sam.

According to David Gold David Moyes might not be available. Asked if Moyes will still be manager next season, Gold told Sky Sports: “Who knows? Who knows? “I’ve enjoyed David Moyes. I’ve enjoyed his company, I’ve enjoyed working with him. “He’s a proper professional, his record speaks for itself. I’ve enjoyed working with him. “I’d like to think it was David Moyes, I really hope so” West Ham chairman David Gold “As we speak, David Moyes is on the list of managers and we will be selecting one in due course. “I’d like to think it was David Moyes, I really hope so.” Despite Gold’s comments, former West Ham star Dean Ashton can’t see Moyes staying in east London this summer.

This is worse than how we are treating Lambert. He's on a list !!!! Meaning he has to 're interview for his job, what a insulting bunch of bastards. If they were that desperate then they could have offered him a new contract way before this ran out.

If you want Lambert out and a quick replacement, then forget Big Sam. Is that what he'll do though Dave? Wait for another fire fighting job in the Prem, only to hear that club's supporters chant "Fuck off Sam Allardyce" six months later, when he's achieved what was asked of him? His last two jobs have seen him hounded out of the England and Everton jobs and he's a proud man, will he want to end his career on that note? Who knows.

Be a bit surprising if Hughes didn't get a new deal at Southampton
Leicester fans would be underwhelmed and can see the Thai owners going for something a bit sexier and more foreign
Watford always go foreign.
Huddersfield if Wagner goes somewhere could be the most obvious, but it's not one to get the blood racing, and would they pay his wage?
Burnley if Dyche goes somewhere? But seems unlikely he will any time soon.
Brighton if they are having a 'mare next Xmas? Again, seems very unlikely.
Cardiff if Warnock is stinking the place out?
Beyond that, I think he (and Moyes) going to be potentially jobless throughout the summer IF they don't fancy the Champo (or retirement in Sam's case?)
ManC ManU Spurs Liv Chels Arse
Evert Leics

Get us up and establish us for a couple of seasons then call it a day! There will be far less pressure on him at stoke than at any other club. Wba and Swansea will be under more pressure than little old atoke of bouncing back straight away. This will take the pressure off Sam and at the end of the day if he doesn't get us back up he can blame it on the over stringent financial dealings of the board. There are many excuses for him to get out of the job but do well and he will be seen as a huge success again...his ego will demand that.

ManC ManU Spurs Liv Chels ArseEvertLeics Palace WHam NewcBurn BmouthWatfBrighton Hudds SotonCardiff WolvesPlay-off winners I agree there isn't a job for him in the Prem this summer. I guess there's an extremely good chance that he'll think "and I don't need one either, fuck this for a game of soldiers, I'm off to put my feet up in my villa in the Algarve ... for good." On the other hand, there maybe the very slimmest of chances that his ego will prevent him wanting to go out of the game in such an ungracious manner and he'll want to prove himself with one last 'project'. If that was the case, then Coates would be looking at having to make a spectacular sales pitch and be prepared to accompany that pitch with four or five year contracts for him and all his back room staff, not to mention accompanying it with a sizeable transfer budget, all told you could be looking at North of £70 million. The villa in the Algarve it is then! 😁
