Funny how you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone.

One tap in. One header.
The rest absolute belters.
Yep. What a fucking shame we didn't replace Nzonzi at the same time we signed him

Was great whilst it lasted. Be a long time before we see a player of his quality again.
Thanks for the memories Shaq.

Without doubt the best footballer to wear our beloved red and white stripes since Hudson and Greenhoff.
Thanks for the magic moments.

Without doubt the best footballer to wear our beloved red and white stripes since Hudson and Greenhoff. Thanks for the magic moments. Fuller shits all over him. Arnie was a better player for us as well. Steino shits all over him. Nzonzi was immense and was a better player for us. Shaqiri has undoubted talent and can do things that world class footballers can do when he's on it but to say he's the best player to wear our shirt since the legends of the seventies is a bold statement in my opinion.

Genuine class act. One of the only things that gave me joy about Stoke this season. Thanks for all Shaq.

I remember watching the press conference when he signed and remember the excitement and feeling of ambition from my team, no longer lowly Stoke, but proud Stoke. As many have pointed out on here, he wasn’t amazing every game he played and yes he was injury prone. However, they are probably two out of the three reasons we got him in the first place. The final reason? Probably that he was promised that his signing would be accompanied by other signings of a similar quality. It’s such a shame that his best season for us has been when he has had a shower of shit around him. I will never forget that press conference and the hope it gave. The more the hope the deeper the hurt. Thanks Shaq for what you gave

THE marquee signing of this top flight spell. Genuine quality and pedigree, that made other teams jealous when we got him.
Shame it all fell apart around him. Shame he was played out of position for months by MLH. Shame that some of his team-mates never got onto his wavelength.
It astounds me that there are people on here without a good word to say about him, they must watch a different game to me.

I'm just glad he gave us a chance. He didn't have to come here, I'm still in shock now that we even signed him. I have a lot of respect for him and I hope he goes on to a better career with a club he actually deserves.

Not perfect and not as consistent as we all would have loved, but if that was the case then he wouldn't have been a Stoke player in the first place. Fair play to him, he's given us three seasons, not kicked up a fuss and probably learned more about himself as a player than he did at Bayern or Inter.
Hope he gets a decent move, he's definitely got the talent. Now he just needs to carry some consistency into his game as he enters his prime.
When he moves on, I think it'll be a gutting moment. Even though it's inevitable, it will signal the end of that "golden" era we had.

Get in a top manager and make him an offer he can't refuse to stay one season to help get us back up
That will show intent
It's not going to happen though

All good players. But none as good as Shaqiri. I'm not saying he did as much for Stoke as those others - but as a footballer, he is, as I said, the best (meaning, for the sake of clarification, the most talented) footballer we've had at Stoke since those 70s icons.

Absolute quality.
Funnily enough, I remember several frequent posters on here wanting to get rid. Categorically proved them all wrong.
All the best Shaq!

Hope he goes abroad or to a top four club....can’t bear the thought of watching him at the likes of West Ham, Everton or Southampton etc.

Decent enough player but but it's a shame he couldn't cross a ball to save his life. It was a major failing in his game. Pieters, being a good full back is another who is woeful at crosses. Sohbi tended not to cross the ball either. When your playing a centre forward who's scored more goals than anyone from headers in the PL you would think that would have been number one priority for the coaches to get right.

Maybe thats down to him not being a winger 🙄
