Us fans have guessed/accused the FA of this for years. How, as fans can we do anything about it though? To me this proves corruption and an organised plan to keep the so called elite Clubs on top, when in fact if the fixtures were as random as we'd like to hope they are would produce a different looking league table every year, probably. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens throughout each league too. I have to admit that I don't read through the Premier leagues rules as to how the fixtures are arranged, but the last paragraph in this report proves that there is a certain amount of favouritism toward the so called elite Clubs.
"The Premier League openly acknowledges on its own website that the fixture list is “no random draw”, with numerous factors influencing when teams play."
This is surely as unfair and biased as things can be..

This obviously gives the top teams an unfair advantage. Is this not against Competition rules?

It's not engineered to benefit the top teams, it's engineered to guarantee viewing figures. The FA are in the pockets of Sky Sports. By default it no doubt benefits the top teams, but it's a televisual spectacle and has been for twenty years, but in the last five to ten its been ramped up to be the most important thing. Why have Man City versus Man Utd on the opening day when you can save for a derby helping of Derby Rivals Weekend, and pair it up with Liverpool against Chelsea etc., blither blither...
load of wank, all of it.

Cheating twats. But its ok for 2 teams at the bottom to play each other? If you are talking about Swansea v Southampton ?...it’s a rearranged fixture Also it’s hard to say who’ll be at the bottom but it’s nailed on who’ll be at the top Personally speaking the premiership is a media whore circus

Where there's money, there's corruption. Premier league is full of it, especially at the top!

Football corrupt shocker. Fixtures,Refs. Both in favour of the big clubs. Roll on the day when the powers that be in the English game are investigated like FIFA and Blatter etc.

Nah, not having that, just a pure coincidence that 3 derbies land on a weekend so sky can show it.
