I'm looking forward to us clearing out the deadwood on the pitch, in the dressing room and behind the scenes
New hungry, younger players who want to win and a manager to match
What's not to like? 👍

I'm looking forward to it.
I'm just crossing my fingers, toes and willy that it won't be Lambert in charge come August.

The Premier League Is a fucking dumping ground for teams like us just to make the numbers. The novelty soon wore off and the last 3 years have been largely dreadful. I won't miss it. It's ruined football in this country.

Personally? I'm not fretting, I'm annoyed at the way it was allowed to happen.

That's a great read. The last 12-18 months have been very hard to endure and after Swansea is out of the way at the weekend I'm actually looking forward to not having to watch Stoke for a few months and coming back with recharged batteries on August 4th! It will be a novelty for a generation of our supporters and hopefully the home attendances will still hold up pretty well in the region of 20-25K and we'll take decent numbers away with some new grounds for people as well. We need to be competitive and start winning football matches again, the decisions made over the new few months will be entirely dependent on that. Correct I don't fear the Championship and will 'embrace it' in so much that we still have a football match to go to but we need to believe in the man at the helm and for me unless we get in the right manager from the get go we will struggle far more to adjust than Middlesbrough have this season Absolutely mate and we can go back to wanting the elite supported by the glory hunting hordes to lose every fucking game. I have felt so dirty cheering on the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester recently just because it helped us. BM

Embrace failure, yeah great! Let's all enjoy going to Wigan again! Ipswich yippee so exciting! Brentford, Reading, Norwich, so thrilling! We'll be in League One soon anyway.
There's only 1 possible bonus we can get going down, is that we finally get our hands on The Football League Championship, trophy.

The article is spot on embrace failure ? where success is surviving Going to all the championship grounds with a chance of winning or going to the wonderful premier league grounds to get stuffed and humiliated especially the top six where their obscene budgets demean football.
Have a look at the Cardiff fans, they really look like they've had a really gut wrenching, tedious, crap year like us.
I'm looking forward to it 100% behind Lambert and building a new ethos.

Going down to the Championship may not be too bad,if you know you can challenge for promotion to get back up,but I think we will spend next to nowt and end up in the bottom half,or even the bottom 3 if Lambert is still our manager.

I get this viewpoint and I'm certainly not a fanny who can't take being relegated and this may be all well and good for a season or two but then what? After a decade down there with falling attendances do we get relegated to League One and 'not fret' about that?
Some clubs are relatively successful season on season so it makes it easier to have that sort of viewpoint. From my experiences, we aren't particularly great in the lower divisions. We don't challenge for the play-offs season after season, we sort of don't do much. Even before we got promoted to the PL, our previous season wasn't great. It was something that we built on and it was better than the previous three or four, but we aren't a 'successful' club, are we? Boro have flitted around the PL for the past 25 years or so and then always seem to be up there challenging for promotion if they are relegated. I don't see us being like that.
That said, it'll be good to see something different. I remember there being a different buzz around Championship matches. We might even get the atmosphere back.

Sorry only one place to be & thats the premier league ask any true fan. They say otherwise & they are fooling themselves. Not looking forward to the Championship as i remember how hard it is to get out of it.(unless your Sunderland of course.) What are these true fans you speak of? There is not only one place to be at all. We will still go wherever we will play, us 'true' fans will anyway. The premier league is not and never will be, the be all and end all, it is a money-making machine that doesnt give two fooks about any teams other than the top 6. Along with all media/journalists/pundits, they just live in their top 6 bubble.

"The only real thing to worry about is if those running the club are financially irresponsible and threaten the club’s very existence. Some do. And why? Because they swallow the ‘best league in the world’ propaganda whole, they splurge too much cash trying to stay in the Premier League (like Sunderland paying Jack Rodwell £70k a week), hypnotised by its supposed glamour and the big money (which price inflation merely evaporates, anyway)." This is a worry "IF" it's true about players like Berahino being on a reportedly £70k a week!!!
