Firstly it means Southampton will probably be getting relegated and, more importantly, it means that if Coates is still umming and ahhing about keeping the joke of a football manager he's appointed, a few goals crashing into our net should hopefully bring about visions of a massive fucking axe instead of a Lambert-led Championship relegation campaign. On the other hand, if we do win, he might start getting silly ideas about Lambert turning the corner and will give him more of the family millions to be spunked down the toilet.
I'm not going to listen to the game or watch it...I'll check the score afterwards. As painful as it is to say: I hope we fucking lose.

Hard to disagree.
It'd be an absolute travesty if that cunt Hughes manages to keep Southampton up.
I'm happy to just take a loss and close this season down as soon as possible If the loss means Southampton go to, then happy days.
Also, Lambert has to go so if it helps that cause to then so be it

I want us to lose. Please can we send saints down and that tit Hughes with them? I don’t mind saints and think they’ll prove a more difficult rival in the champ but I can’t bear Hughes staying up

Good luck!!
I started this thread some days ago then called "The almost 40 points rule is still on", but got silly answers saying "what are you on about?" and "noone understands your point" and "if you're ten years old or so, then I won't offend you" and so on.

This club has disappointed the supporters all season. Expect this to continue as we grind out a 1-0 win.

A Hughes eleven is a must for this game.
Let's see if they can help keep their mate up.
Maybe it will help Coates to see the shortcomings in the transfer policy.
Scholes and Cartwright out immediately please.

Only bad things can happen with point(s) at Swansea.
If it raises the chances of Lambert staying by 1%, it's to be avoided.
And natural justice means Hughes must be relegated.

Southampton staying up would be a bitter pill to swallow but do we really want them with us in the Championship if we are serious about winning 1 of 2 promotion slots ? They would be immediately installed as title favourites.

Might be irrelevant regarding Southampton. I think they will beat Swansea tomorrow night and all but guarantee their safety.
I'm not sure that the result will have any bearing on Lambert's future as well. Only the biggest know nothing fools ever to run a football club will keep him on.

I'm going to go and unfortunately hope we lose. If it helps stubborn old Coates makes the obvious decision then I'll take it on the chin. Plenty of Lambert out chanting too. Nothing personal he just isn't the solution. Couldn't really give a shit about Hughes or Southampton. Both Swansea and Southampton are pleasant enough away trips so either down better than Huddersfield.

A rousing, panic stricken, agitated spectre of a demented manager, out-of-his depth, arms rotating in his managers area would actually be joyful to watch. A right good collapse and thrashing should tip everything over the cliff and clear the decks. We have nothing to lose but everything to gain. A crash and burn should energise everybody - even those dozy twins Scholes & Cartwright, should they survive. Then the little bit of Karma - Hughes screwed!

This would also be an opportunity for the players to pay back Hughes, and let us know what they really of think of Lambert behind the scenes. 4-0 as the final epitaph.

It's fair to say I don't give the slightest shit any more. This season has completely knocked the football stuffing out of me.
I used to say to myself that having watched the entirety of the holocaust season, no season could ever be as bad again. I was wrong, because this one has been much worse. Much worse.

What are the benefits of relegating Hughes?, Swansea is an easier opponent in Championship.

First time since Burnden Park '93 i wouldn't be bothered about losing if it meant Hughes suffers the relegation his season so richly deserves.

Southampton have just sold VVD for about 80 million, they will spend money more than any championship team and they will qualify quickly, I dont think they will keep Hughes if they got relegated with him.
