If you’ll let me is the best bit. So, he thinks his position is in doubt. Excellent because it should be! BM Only at Stoke would there be any doubt, after the shit show he's served up.

It's about the only time the old line "thanks for nothing, now fuck off!" isn't harsh in the slightest.

QPR, Cardiff, Sheffield United for starters That's 3 and that is it. Colin is a first class wanker and should never be let anywhere near our club It was mentioned by the commentators during the Cardiff game as well. They didn't say what teams.

Hunch or something more Paul? I posted on another thread ... I think there is absolutely no way that they will keep Lambert. He is tainted with the failure of relegation, his stats are appalling and the club just can't take the risk of ending up in exactly the same situation that they did with Hughes. If they give him a load of cash to spend in the summer and then we have a tough opening set of fixtures where we don't win in the first four or five, then things at the Brit will turn ugly very quickly, with the main focus of the wrath now being the board themselves, rather than the manager. Yes they've made some big mistakes recently but I can't accept that they're just plain stupid. They now know that they made a huge mistake in not sacking Hughes last summer, there is just no way that they're going to run the risk of making the same mistake again.

I would.deffo be on the phone to him now. Weay not like him, but his record speaks for itself in this league. Why would he leave cardiff though mate Pulis has to return for me. Thr point Betty is making is that around the half way mark in the season, Warnock will get sacked.

I think I'm right in saying his promotions are with scarborough, notts county x 2, plymouth, shef utd, qpr, cardiff and palace. Edit - it was Huddersfield in 1995 not palace.

I am honestly fucking staggered at what I read. Here is a man who has relegated us with a pathetic 14 game winless run after Huddersfield, fucking begging for his job to take us back up. 'If you'll let me', no, we fucking won't, now fuck off.
He's as good as gone.

Who else can see the following scenario: 1.Lambert gets given the job. 2.We're midtable or worse after 20 games. 3.Lambert is sacked 4.The recently-sacked Neil Warnock is hired in his place. Nailed. On. Unless we bomb at the start of the season, we lose our first 6, and Mick McCarthy is jetted in from his hols to take the job of course....

Not once has he had the bollocks to address the 14 game without a win shaped elephant, rather just mention how the players "gave everything". Fuck off, they've probably gave you 2 hours of giving everything since you've been here.
Look at the facts before snivveling for a full time job. A manager, just like the figureheads at the top- not a single set of bollocks between them.

The club needs to get rid of Lambert asap after the Swansea game.
With the massive changes that will/should take place this summer the club should be lining up Lambert's replacement so that he can come in next week. The transfer window closes early August so we can't afford to mess about sorting the manager situation out.
Get him gone, get the new guy in, and get on with it !

I thought the club had already done the PR last week on this and the board have said he is staying?
I totally agree he has to go as he has the joint worst record of any manager in our modern day history!.
However I am not convinced he is going anywhere. If that was true he would be gone this week.
There is less than 3 months to sort out a new team and we also have a small transfer window and a World Cup!
If he is not gone straight after Swansea game then you can be sure he is not going!.
I just wish the club would be decisive for a change.

I really, really, really, really (x a million) hope you're right. I can't stomach watching Lambertball anymore and I've only seen it for 14 games. With a new manager in charge who we can all get behind (Silva, QSF, Potter) I think fans will accept a season of stabilising before we can mount a proper promotion charge. As you say, Lambert won't get that luxury- fans will be after him (and the board) straight away if we get off to a bad start.
