Mr Coates - complacency with his management team has to be one of the biggest factors of our demise, equalled with the managements complacency or more pointedly their inability to fulfil their roles.
Denial. ‘What Fuss’ Many more diligent fans noted issues some 18+ months ago, most fans not too long after. The holding onto Hughes is the sign of a good character, but keeping a poor manager on based on kindness has no place in football at this level, however noble.
The imposter Lambert. Bitterly disappointing when he was revealed, we needed a manager to create change and inspire, get something more out of players. We got none of this. He looks like a manager - tracksuit (check) He sounds like a manager - Scottish accent, confident fergie-esq sound (check). These days managers don’t get time, he’s had 40 odd points to grab at, surely his probation is over.
So where do we go? in a perverse way I’m kinda looking forward to the change. I imagine we’ll keep Lambert - I hope we don’t. Clean slate, rebuild, we move on.

We need to look at Wolves - that's what's needed..... We're doing exactly the same as Wolves. Expanded our stadium in the premier league and getting relegated.

We certainly haven’t made hay while the sun was shining. So small time.

We're doing exactly the same as Wolves. Expanded our stadium in the premier league and getting relegated. I was meaning these past 12-18 months fellah - although to have the confidence to build a new stand and extend capacity DESPITE relegation shows belief & commitment in spades - took us 8 seasons of dithering to fill a fcking corner in !! Decent "unknown" manager who gets it - it being how to make the continental game work in an English league context, great quality acquisitions without going all big-time-charlie and absolutely smashing the Championhip with a confidence that has been breathtaking in my view... You mean 18 months ago when Paul Lambert was the Wolves manager? We're doing a pretty good job so far.
