So assuming the so called big guns will be off quicker than a whores draws on the promise of a £50 tip, who should be given the keys to the bulging piggy bank?
Do we stick with Lambert and give him a chance to build a squad of his own making?
Do we gamble on Potter and accept it may take him 3 seasons to adjust and get us heading north again.
Do we bring in someone like Warnock, if Cardiff don't make it, to steady the ship, ( I know he's not popular around these parts but i've just read his book 'The Gaffer ' which I recommend to everyone. You see a much softer side to the guy, and the fantastic way he looks out for his players and staff. The magic he worked at QPR to get them promoted, when pretty much having the funding for any transfer targets he had in mind turned down, is quite remarkable ) What could he achieve if he has a few quid to spend? He knows the game inside out and is well connected.
I can see Moyes and Allardice being available at some point next season, do we hold out for one of them, would they drop a division?
or do we go foreign knowing not that many of them make the grade really.
Tough one really but there are many options.

War chest, you can shelve that idea before you build yourself up for more disappointment
The tossers in charge couldn't open the war chest to keep us in the league back in January, Bauer was a great signing not sure still about can't spell his name in midfield.
We needed a goal scorer and we get told we were in for people but failed to get them, you would move heaven and earth to keep that cash coming in.
Now it's either Coates money or no money, I know where my monies going

There will be no war chest. The owners do not want us back in the Premier League, being there is too expensive.
Mid table Championship will suit them nicely, they have already appointed an ideal manager to achieve that.
Stop getting your hopes up, the Premier League era is over and it isn't coming back.

Really early days but no positive noises coming from the club. A real signal of intent needs to be made but in traditional, slow, understated way we will get fuck all and lapse into next season with little or no hope.

There will be a significant amount to spend especially compared to other championship teams.

We should rake in £80 mil on sales so I'd imagine we are fine in that respect . Maybe some of our failures will find their level next season

Whatever change I have left after this bank holiday will still be more then any war chest.
And there won’t be a lot of change.

Be prepared to see a ensemble of kiddies and OAP's taking to the pitch.
Can't see much funds being made available
We need to cover the significant salaries of more than one waster.
I'll be surprised if we finish top half

I would hope a decent contract lawyer would be able to terminate the contracts of players who have failed to conduct themselves like professional athletes. I am not optimistic of my hope becoming reality however as no rules appear to apply to footballers at SCFC.

It is all about who the manager is.
Keep Lambert and say goodbye to the Prem for years.

We will keep our back 4 and badou, also hopefully choupo in attack. We will bring in 60 millionfrom allen, shaq butland. Imbula will be sold, probably sobhi too.
We'll be rid of johnson and adam.
Bojan will come back in the squad.
We'll have 30-40 mill to spend on a couple of attacking players and a couple of midfielders.
We'll come straight back.

There will be no warchest. When the players realise their bank accounts are substantially smaller with the 30-40% wage reductions we truely hope are in their contracts, they will be queueing up for the exit.

They wont sell allen for as little as 14 million mate, west ham were sniffing at 23-25 million last year. We will demand more than that for butland too, that fee you quoted is what nathan ake went for last season. If we spend about 30-40 million and keep the back four, badou, choupo, then provided west brom don't spend a shit load more we should nail that league.

we should not allow any of our better players go. we have them on contracts so they should give us at least 12 months and I really believe with a few additions we would be back up. its ok walking off he pitch in tears yesterday time now to show us fans they really care. bollocks to all the vultures who are circling our club for bargain buys time to show some fucking loyalty.

Butland wants out, he will be second choice at the WC and wont feature, he's had a terrible season by any teams standards- 20m is realistic.
Of course we will accept a bid in the region of 12-16m for Allen. Why wouldn't we? We need his wages done, he wants to leave, its that simple unless there's a bidding war.
Spend 30-40m? Ha, you are in dreamland. We haven't spent 30-40m in all of our 10 seasons in the land of milk and honey! I can't believe people think we will be boosting our current squad when we are relegated finishing bottom. Deluded.

Currently we have half a team. A back 4 of Bauer, Ryan, Indi, Pieters would be the best in the Championship. Bring in a solid keeper like Gunn and a partner for Badou. Play Ireland advanced. 2 good wingers (Vassel from Brum?) And 2 decent strikers (Gayle) and I’d back us to bounce straight back.

One thing is for sure, this relegation will hurt Peter and Jonny Coates. They will want us back up ASAP. I actually think they will be prepared to spend about 75% of the money we bring in from sales to give us the best chance to bounce back at the first time of asking.
This summer will be interesting......
